“Lorraine is sweet and gentle. She does well with everyone she meets and takes her vet visits quietly and easily. She is gentle with toys and will share. But she also knows how to say “no” and stand up for herself. She wants to be close to all the action (or even the non-action). I hope she can sleep in bed with her new person. She will do best with other dogs. And she loves (or at least tolerates) wearing clothes!”

Story
What’s not really a quiche, but sweet as pie? It’s our blue beauty Lorraine! Lorraine was found as a stray and brought to the shelter where FBRN swooped in and took her in. Now after some time in foster care, she is ready to fly the coop and find a family she can call her own.
She is estimated to be around 3.5 years old and she is an absolute doll who has done exceptionally well with her six, yes, count them, six canine foster siblings! And she has also been around kids as young as 10 years old and loves them too. So if you’re a family looking to add a dog for your dog and a loving companion for your kids, consider Lorraine!
Lorraine doesn’t need much exercise to be happy. She is up for a short walk around the neighborhood and then some relaxation time while sunbathing in a fenced yard. She loves toys, especially chewing on Benebones and playing with her Kong Wubba so if you have some of those available, you’re ahead of the curve! She does have a bit of a mischievous side, as any good Frenchie does. If you’re looking for a certain item and cannot find it, Lorraine may have nabbed it while you weren’t looking. But she has most likely just relocated it to an undisclosed location undamaged.
Like many Frenchies, she does have some allergies which will require continued treatment in her new home. She is on regular Cytopoint shots and routine medicated baths to keep her itchies at bay. Thankfully she’s a favorite at the vet’s office where everyone loves her and she doesn’t mind her spa days at all.
This super sweet gal is crate trained. She has done well in a crate for up to 6 hours at a time so she could be left at home with a midday break while you go to work or she would probably do well going to an office. Potty training is still a work in progress so her new family must be patient and willing to continue to guide her in mastering the art of house training. In return, Lorraine with reward you with lots of snuggles.
Her foster mom adores Lorraine and says, “Lorraine is sweet and gentle.
If you’re a family with other dogs and kids, Lorraine might be the perfect match. She’s a sweet snuggle bear who, while her past is a bit of a mystery, is ready to move on into the future with her new family. She’s a bit too big to fly so plan to drive on over to California if chosen. She’s a great passenger and will be waiting with bells on.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
