“Bebop settled into our family fairly quickly, given slow introductions. She has this cute little prance, hop and side stance that lets you know she is ready to play! She has the cutest snorts and Frenchie noises and will never pass up a chance to receive kisses and belly rubs. If she is unable to sit in your lap, then you can find her at your feet. Everyone who has met her, has fallen head over heels in love with her. She is packed full of personality! There’s not a day since joining us that she has not made us laugh.”

Story
FBRN’s jazzy little lady is ready to bebop her way on over to her forever family! You guessed it, Bebop has hit the available page and is ready to find a family whose heart skips a beat when they meet her. Bebop came into FBRN’s care because sadly her owner had declining health and financial hardship, and knew they weren’t capable of providing the proper care and attention that she needed.
Bebop has a mild luxating patella that is not enough to warrant surgery and has IVDD (diagnosed via imaging), but she hasn’t had any issues related to that diagnosis. In addition to those two conditions, she also has pulmonary hypertension, which is managed with medication. Her foster mom reports that Bebop is indeed quite active, like nothing is wrong! However, it is recommended that she exercise in moderation, limit jumping, and not be in prolonged excessive heat. She will always need medication to manage her hypertension and pain from her patella and IVDD.
Bebop is a happy, loveable, cuddly and playful little goof ball. She appreciates being told she is a good girl, so a family who doesn’t skimp on compliments is a must! She is a beautiful dog…and she knows it. She likes going for short walks, does well on the leash and loves everyone she meets. She especially loves the next dog neighbors’ children who are ages 10-14.Bebop currently lives with two foster fur-siblings, a 14-year old female French Bulldog and a 5-year old male Pit Bull mix (90 pounds) and she gets along well with them both. She occasionally forgets her manners and has resource guarded her food or a toy from her foster siblings, but she has been easily redirected. She would do well with other dogs, but slow introductions are a must. Bebop gets along exceptionally well with smaller dogs and she would do fine with a bigger dog who is tolerant of her antics…as sometimes she thinks she is bigger than she is.
Bebop would adapt to a home that is either a family with kids or a single person, but no cats or other small animals around this girl. When she’s outside, if she sees a small animal or cat, she will likely want to investigate, so a fenced yard is preferred. Bebop is not afraid to let you know when people are walking by the house or when she wants to play. She has also declared war on all things “cleaning” (sorry, floors). The mop, broom, vacuum, and even the Roomba have all been taken down in epic battles. Since she likes to alert you to passersby, cars or noises, an apartment may not be the best placement for her. Bebop’s first choice is always to be around her humans, as she always wants to know where you are and what you’re doing, but she would be fine if left alone during the day. She has had no issues going potty outside an in fact, will go to the door indicating she needs to go out. She hasn’t needed to be crated while with her foster family. One has been made available to her, but she prefers the floor, a piece of furniture or your lap. Smart girl!
When Bebop gets the zoomies, she will approach you and try to get you to engage with her, often with her favorite tug-of-war rope. When she’s not keeping rhythm with her zoomies, she’s dribbling and chasing balls like a pro, destroying stuffy toys with gusto, chewing Nylanbones, or casually showing off her strength by carrying around a five-pound weight in her mouth.
Bebop’s foster mom has this to say about her: “Bebop settled into our family fairly quickly, given slow introductions.
Bebop is a goofball through and through, and ready to fill your days with music, laughter, and love. Is your family the one to welcome this snazzy, jazzy little girl into your home? Hit apply today!
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
