“Zelda is an absolute DOLL of a Frenchie. She is sweet, loving, and cuddly—a true Velcro dog who always wants to be where her people are. Cooking dinner? She’ll hang out beside the stove. Doing laundry? She’ll help hold the dryer door open. Working from home? She’ll assist during Zoom meetings. Though she is 6, she still has lots of spunk, loves toys and zoomies, and then happily crashes on the couch for a siesta. She loves other dogs and visitors, is incredibly gentle, and we haven’t heard her bark once! In the two months she’s been with us, she has experienced many firsts—modern technology (she’s fascinated by the TV!), living in a home, car rides, vet visits (not her favorite, but she’s brave), and even trick-or-treaters. We let her progress at her own pace and reassure her that she’s safe, and she has done an amazing job acclimating. She’s a wonderful companion and will make an excellent addition to any home.”

Story
While you may not have needed to cross kingdoms or trek through distant countrysides to find her, Princess Zelda has officially arrived on the Available page! This doe-eyed fawn beauty came to FBRN after retiring from her breeding life, and now she’s ready to embark on her next great quest with a loving family rather than Link!
Zelda is a true Velcro Frenchie whose greatest comfort is being close to her people. She’s a happy-go-lucky girl who loves a good case of the zoomies, and once her royal laps around the yard are complete, she’s more than content to curl up beside you for some well-earned couch snuggles.
She is housebroken and crate trained, though every seasoned adventurer knows that distractions in the kingdom can occasionally delay a potty break. If left alone in the castle for too long, Zelda may get a bit mischievous, so her foster family recommends crating her for any solo expeditions.
Zelda is looking for a forever family who can offer her a home base fit for a princess. Her home would ideally come with a canine companion, possibly with young “adventurers,” and would be in a suburban or more spacious setting. She spent her previous life on a farm and is used to having room to roam. She walks beautifully on leash, doesn’t bark, and could adapt to apartment life, so long as her new family provides plenty of love, companionship, and yes…snuggles in bed.
If you happen to work in a kingdom that allows canine coworkers, Zelda would likely thrive tagging along, though she may need a little reassurance during the daily commute, as car rides are still something she’s learning to enjoy.
Her foster family sings her praises: “Zelda is an absolute DOLL of a Frenchie. She is sweet, loving, and cuddly—a true Velcro dog who always wants to be where her people are. Cooking dinner? She’ll hang out beside the stove. Doing laundry? She’ll help hold the dryer door open. Working from home? She’ll assist during Zoom meetings. If you’re ready to start your next quest with Princess Zelda by your side, all you need to do is submit an application and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime should you be chosen to adopt her.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
