Introducing Maurice, FBRN’s very own Space Cowboy! At just one year old and around 30 pounds, Maurice is bursting with enthusiasm for life. This handsome boy has the softest fur and an even bigger personality. He’s an active, energetic pup who is always ready for his next adventure and especially loves to show off his legendary zoomies! Like many young dogs, Maurice is still learning the ropes. He’s working on his manners and will need a family committed to helping him channel his excitement into positive behaviors through training, consistency, and plenty of enrichment. He’s a smart boy who is eager to engage, especially when treats are involved.

Maurice has settled into foster care quickly and has already made himself right at home. If shoes, tissues and even kitchen towels are within sight, Maurice may decide it’s fair game for one of his self-appointed housekeeping inspections. Outside the home he’s shown a strong interest in chasing lizards, but he has calmly ignored the neighboring dog so far. He’ll be meeting the resident dogs soon, and we’ll continue to learn more about how he does with canine friends. Maurice is also getting used to crate time. While it isn’t his favorite place just yet, he’s happy to settle in for a rest when snacks sweeten the deal.

Maurice has experienced some digestive upset, and his foster mom is working to get everything resolved so he can feel his very best.
