Howie is ready to say “Howdy!” to his furever home! This four-year-old energetic boy is ready to join an active family that is looking for their next companion. Surrendered to FBRN after a change in his original owners’ life circumstances, Howie’s personality has been nothing short of incredible. His foster mom says, “Howie is a big, strong bundle of love and energy. He is a happy boy who is interested in everything.”

Due to his adventurous nature, a fence is required as Howie loves to see just ‘how’ far he can run around! He does very well in the car and is crate trained. While Howie has an excellent temperament, he is not fond of the toe nail clippers just yet. Due to seasonal allergies on his feet, Howie would greatly benefit from someone who is willing to desensitize him to nail trimmings and show him that pawdicures are the best!

Howie LOVES chewing on hard toys, stuffies don’t stand a chance against this athletic man! He loves other dogs and kids, but sometimes needs to be reminded that playtime is over. Prior Frenchie experience with a dog already in the home is preferred as this is the lifestyle Howie seems to thrive in. While he did not have firm boundaries in his previous home, he is now learning the rules like a pro.

His foster mom ends with this, “Howie is young and active but also likes to snuggle…Overall, he is a sweet, well-behaved and handsome boy who will make an active family very happy.”

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. Howie would love to have you fill out an application and perhaps be his forever!
