Please welcome FBRN’s newest litter of Jellicle kittens! Rumpleteazer, Grizabella, Jemima, Mistoffles, and Etcetera are five adorable puppies who arrived in the world in true FBRN fashion, with quite a story behind them.

Their mom, Jennyanydots, came to FBRN after being given away by her breeder. Her new owner soon discovered that Jenny was pregnant and reached out to FBRN when she realized she could not afford the potential cost of a C-section. A veterinarian confirmed that Jenny was carrying five puppies, and she was transported to New Jersey, where she underwent a C-section the following day.

The five puppies are now five weeks old and beginning to show us more of their individual personalities. There are four girls and one boy, and they appear to be French Bulldog and short-nosed bully-type mixes. DNA testing is underway, so we hope to have a better idea of their family tree soon.

Jenny was unable to nurse her puppies and was not particularly interested in taking on the role of mother, so the humans stepped in to make sure these five little Jellicles received everything they needed. They are now growing, playing, and generally keeping everyone on their toes as puppies do best.

As their personalities begin to emerge, we are looking forward to learning more about each of them when they move to their permanent foster homes. Stay tuned for updates as Rumpleteazer, Grizabella, Jemima, Mistoffles, and Etcetera continue their journey from tiny kittens to full-fledged Frenchies.
