“Annaliese is a big bundle of love and happiness! She gets so excited when we come home, even if we’ve only been gone for a few minutes. She wants to be around you constantly and will keep you entertained with her playfulness. She’s one of the sweetest dogs we have ever fostered. Other than her dominance toward my male dogs, she has been a joy to us and so easy to take care of. A total love bug. She is awesome!”

Story
Please welcome six-year-old Anneliese to the Available Page! Annaliese was tearfully surrendered by her owner who developed health issues, which made it difficult to care for her. Thankfully she transitioned into a loving and safe foster home.
Healthwise, Annaliese is in great shape, which is not something we can say often! This six-year-old cutie has a history of ear infections, so her vet has recommended an ear flush once or twice a week to keep her ears in tip top shape. Annaliese is also a little on the chunky side, so she could afford to lose a few pounds (just don’t tell her that!). Her foster mom has been careful with her diet and exercise, but no special food or supplements are required.
Annaliese’s perfect home is anywhere her people are. She loves hanging out with her foster mom and like many Frenchies, she loves attention. She’s very playful and is pretty easy going. She’s happy to go on walks, but is equally happy to have a yard to explore. She likes playing with toys, especially rubber chickens! Of course, stuffies are made to be unstuffed, so supervision is required and get out your earplugs for the squeak toys – she’s a master at making them noisy. She tolerates being crated when home alone after some mild complaining, but she would prefer to not be left for long stretches. Someone that works from home or has a flexible schedule would be ideal as they could make time for her throughout the day.
While she is submissive to people, she has shown a dominant side towards dogs, especially males. She has done very well with the female dogs in the household, but she’s been slightly aggressive toward the Frenchie boys in the family. Foster mom thinks that, with time, she would get used to another dog in the family since she used to live with a neutered male. A slow introduction is a must for any other canine friends in her future home.
Her foster mom wants you to know that, “Annaliese is a big bundle of love and happiness! She gets so excited when we come home, even if we’ve only been gone for a few minutes. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. Annaliese would love to have you fill out an application and perhaps get to pick her up and take her to her forever home. The sooner Annaliese gets to her forever home, the sooner she can return to the loving situation she had to leave. Car travel is no problem for Annaliese, but she is too big to fly.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations and we do not set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
About Anneliese
Annaliese has a history of ear infections, which should be monitored for recurrence.
Annaliese is a resource guarder so must never be around small children. She must be monitored during feeding and when toys are present. A slow intro is required if there are other dogs in the home.
