“Biscuit is a very easy dog and showers you with lots of kisses. She is young, healthy, easy to manage, and quick to learn—smart and generally very obedient. She will thrive in a home with plenty of nature where she can be the center of attention rather than a sidekick.”

Story
FBRN’s happy and healthy sweetie pie is ready to move in with her forever family. Biscuit is a beautiful two-year-old girl who came to FBRN after her former family’s circumstances changed and they could no longer give her the care she deserved.
This girl is joyful, playful, and a little mischievous in the best way. She loves a daily game of chase, enjoys fetch, and lights up with energy when it’s time to play. She also has a softer side, as she adores being scratched, happily climbs into laps, and is very much a typical Velcro Frenchie who loves staying close to her people. She’s generally quiet, patient while waiting for walks, and showers her humans with kisses.
Along with being affectionate, Biscuit is quite intelligent and has adjusted quickly to her foster home. She is accustomed to consistent, structured exercise and currently enjoys three walks a day, totaling at least 1.5 miles. A fenced yard where she can get her zoomies out, and access to nature trails would be a dream come true for this country-loving girl. While she has a lot of energy to burn, she does indeed thrive best in calm, predictable environments. New situations must be introduced slowly, as loud noises and unfamiliar settings can be startling for her. Office life or very busy environments may not be the best fit for her sensitive, routine-loving nature. She has no major temperament concerns, but she can be mildly territorial about spaces she considers her own and may growl if someone enters those areas. She would likely prefer to stay put with someone who is home most of the day and can provide the attention and companionship she thrives on.
Biscuit is naturally curious and shows interest in other dogs when out on walks, though she hasn’t had close interactions with them during her time in foster care, so her dog-to-dog behavior is still unknown. In her previous home she was easily distracted by other small animals and took a strong interest in chasing cats. She would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home and is not a good fit for a home with cats. This little lady is also house-trained with no accidents, though she’s still learning how to signal when she needs to go outside. Her foster mom reports that bell training is underway and progressing!
Her foster mom has this to say, “Biscuit is a very easy dog and showers you with lots of kisses. She is young, healthy, easy to manage, and quick to learn—smart and generally very obedient. She will thrive in a home with plenty of nature where she can be the center of attention rather than a sidekick.”
Biscuit will truly shine in a peaceful home where she can be the center of attention, enjoy the outdoors, and build a strong bond with her person. She has a lot of love to offer and a serious snuggle agenda, so her one requirement of her forever family is that they are willing to reciprocate. If you think you are that family, then don’t delay and submit your application today! Please note that car rides of 2–3 hours seem to be Biscuit’s comfort limit, so please take this into consideration when filling out an application.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
