Story
Who’s sweet, black and tan and has a name that rhymes with candy? Well it’s Brandy and she has made her way to FBRN’s available page! This seven-year-old sweetheart had a rough start to life, as she was surrendered to FBRN by a commercial breeding facility. While Brandy’s life might have been challenging at the start, she isn’t letting that stop her from living this next chapter of her life to the fullest!
Brandy is excited to explore new environments and meet new friends, but she is still figuring out how to love and be loved, which is typical of dogs not brought up in a homey environment. While on paper she is seven, don’t let her age fool you. Her foster mom shares that she is energetic and curious, yet also laid back. What a perfect combo! She has the personality of a puppy who is still learning about the world around them, which means she will require a patient family willing to teach her the do’s and don’ts of being a pet. Brandy would do great in almost any home environment, with a preference for a fenced-in yard. She is not the best on a leash and is a bit of a flight risk, as she doesn’t have the best recall.
Brandy has been around female dogs ages 1-6 years old, and children from ages 9-16. While she hasn’t been tested with cats, she has been great with all animals she’s met. She is crate-trained and does well in there for up to four hours. Her ideal forever family would have someone who either works from home or has someone who can come home midday for a potty break. She isn’t afraid to use her voice to let you know she’s had enough crate time. Brandy is still figuring out what toys, and the ones that she does have, she is happy to share. Brandy does not require a special diet and doesn’t have any known allergies. What?! Should we take away her Frenchie card?! She does however seem to have a sensitive tummy when it comes to long car rides, so a forever family within reasonable driving distance to her foster home would be preferred.
Brandy is a sweet soul with a gentle demeanor, who just wants to provide you with comfort and companionship. She is always greeting you with a wagging tail. Her foster mom has this to say about her, “Brandy is a sweet girl, and she has the spunk of a puppy. She will steal your heart by looking into her eyes.” If you’ve been wanting to open your home to a sweet loving Frenchie in need and are looking for unwavering love and companionship…then look no further than Brandy. Her past may have been tough, but she’s ready to fill her (and your) future with happiness and joy!
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
