“Hanna might very well be the sweetest Frenchie we have ever fostered and so easy to take care of. She is an absolute lovebug and would cuddle with us all day if we let her. She has tiny quiet barks that go with her stature and even her whines make us smile. We will miss looking into her soul through those black eyes.”

Story
Please welcome three-year-old Hanna to the available page! This brindled beauty came to FBRN due to changes in her former owner’s health, and she has transitioned into foster life with grace, sweetness, and a whole lot of cuddles. Now that her puppy-raising days are behind her, she’s fully embracing her new role as a cherished companion. She is calm, easygoing and deeply devoted to her people.
Hanna wants to be wherever you are, especially at mealtime…and to be clear we mean, her mealtime! Hanna has mild food resource guarding tendencies during meals (no issues with toys or treats) so she eats separately from the three resident Frenchies in her foster home. Whereas she doesn’t love being alone, this means it also applies to mealtime. Let’s just say she prefers eating with moral support nearby (she’ll eat independently, but she’d rather you keep her company). Hanna thrives on companionship and would do best in a home where someone is around most of the day. However, she would 100% make a wonderful assistant at the office. Hanna loves car rides and has no distance limit so she would be perfectly happy accompanying her human to the office. Something to make note of (whether at home or at work) is that she does need to be harnessed near doors, as she can occasionally channel her inner escape artist. She also has a prior history of IVDD, so while she is asymptomatic, she should be monitored for reoccurrence.
Hanna is happiest when she is cuddling up with other dogs (especially Frenchies) and her humans, and overall, simply loves attention…so she is of the “more the merrier” mentality for sure! While she is more of a loafer and does not need serious exercise, she does love her neighborhood walk. She walks nicely on leash and will happily trot along with her pack. If she sees unfamiliar dogs on leashes outside her inner circle though…she does bark at them and wants to run towards them. While she loves daily jaunts around the neighborhood, Hanna would do best in a house or townhome that has at least a small yard…as she enjoys the sunshine and loves to go exploring!
While in general she’s happy to follow the pack, Hanna also has moments of quiet confidence…like being the only dog in her foster home who happily uses a ramp to join everyone on the couch. Rare to see, but this girl is both a leader and a follower! Along with low-key exercise, Hanna enjoys chewing on Benebones and cheese chews, which keep her content for long stretches.
Hanna’s foster mom has this to say about her: “Hanna might very well be the sweetest Frenchie we have ever fostered and so easy to take care of. She is an absolute lovebug and would cuddle with us all day if we let her. She has tiny quiet barks that go with her stature and even her whines make us smile. We will miss looking into her soul through those black eyes.”
If you’re looking for a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to love and be loved, Hanna might just be your perfect match. Fill out an application today for Hanna and you’re one step closer to making her dreams come true…a forever family of her very own!
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
