“June is just like Mary Poppins, ‘Practically Perfect in Every Way.’ June is a petite princess that has been such a joy to foster. She loves people, toys and other dogs. Just the right amount of playful. She loves to play tug of war with her sister or snuggle with her foster Mom. Her previous family brought her home during the pandemic so she did not get out and about very much so she feels most comfortable at home. Since being in her foster home she has been exposed to the great outdoors a bit more. Initially she is a tad anxious in new situations but eventually warms up to her surroundings. June will bring so much happiness to whoever has the privilege of adopting her.”

Story
And what is so rare as a day in June? How about the prettiest Frenchie girl you ever did see, now making her grand debut on the Available page. It’s June!
This beautiful spring flower was tearfully surrendered to FBRN along with her sister due to a family member developing severe dog allergies. June was initially a little confused about her sudden change of circumstances, but she’s a sunshine and rainbows type of girl who doesn’t let things keep her down for long. As a “pandemic puppy,” she didn’t have many opportunities during her younger years to experience the big wide world around her, and as a result she is a bit timid in new situations. But her confidence is growing by the day, and she has revealed herself to be a wiggly-waggly bundle of pure Frenchie joy. June is a happy, go-with-the-flow type of dog who loves playing with toys and cuddling with her people. She gets along famously with her canine foster siblings (she’s more of a follower than a leader) and has been sweet as summer peach pie to every human she’s met, including foster mom’s 3-year-old granddaughter.
Training-wise, they don’t come more well-mannered than June. She knows all of her basic commands, and reportedly knows how to ring a bell when she needs to go out! Walking on a leash is a new skill for her, but she’s made great progress and is enjoying short excursions around the neighborhood. What June doesn’t enjoy is her crate, so if her people need to be away for a while, it’s best that she be baby gated into a room or a small play area.
June’s surrendering owners reported that she suffered from some allergies, and received occasional Cytopoint shots to help with those dreaded Frenchie itchies. We haven’t seen any signs of allergies since her arrival in foster care, but allergens are tricky things, and it’s possible she could have a recurrence. Her new family should keep a close eye on her ears and skin, and be sure to take her to the vet at the first signs of any redness, swelling, or itchiness–it’s always better to nip these things in the proverbial bud!
June would be happy in just about any living situation, so long as she gets to spend minimum time by herself and maximum time with her people. She’s not a barker, so she’d be perfectly fine in an apartment or townhouse, so long as she gets regular time outside on her leash or in a securely fenced yard. June would love another dog around the house to be her BFF (Best Fur Friend), especially one who’s equally fond of playing tug-o-war. And she’d be more than happy to accompany her person to work, where she’d probably win Employee Of the Month every month for the entire year. June has never been exposed to cats or other small critters, so unfortunately, we have to say no to kitties, birds, and the like.
June’s foster mom adores this sweet girl to bits, and tells us: “June is just like Mary Poppins, ‘Practically Perfect in Every Way.’ June is a petite princess that has been such a joy to foster. FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
