“1/3 gremlin, 1/3 Ewok, 1/3 Frenchie, with a dash of Dalmatian!! Kit has been such a special little soul in our home, it’s going to be incredibly hard to say goodbye. He brings that perfect mix of calm & quirky personality that makes you fall in love fast. Yes, he can be a bit stubborn with his signature ‘Frenchie scream’ when he doesn’t get his way, but it’s all part of his charm! His adorable upside-down ‘vampire’ fangs peek out in the cutest way, with his tongue resting on them in the sweetest little ripple – it’s impossible not to smile when you see his face. He has blended seamlessly into our home with our two resident Frenchies and our 5-year-old daughter. He is gentle, loving, and enjoys being part of the pack – whether that’s lounging nearby, supervising household activities, or making sure no snack goes unmonitored. Kit will make a wonderful companion for a very lucky family. He has so much love to give, and he will be deeply missed here.”

Story
Kit is equal parts calm and quirky. He is a laid-back kind of guy who enjoys a good lounge, but he can still summon about twenty minutes of spirited, goofy play when the mood strikes. He is not a Velcro dog, but he is a dedicated member of the household who simply wants to be included in whatever is going on. If you are nearby, Kit plans to be as well, quietly supervising and ensuring no snacks go unnoticed.
As a distinguished senior, Kit knows exactly what he likes and is not shy about it. He is a confident, take-charge gentleman who prefers to live life on his own terms. Crates and gates are not part of his plan, and he will voice his opinion with his signature Frenchie “scream” if asked to reconsider. It is less of a protest and more of a performance.
Kit has done wonderfully in his foster home, living peacefully with other Frenchies and a young child. He is gentle and loving with people, including dog-savvy kids, and enjoys the company of other dogs for play and companionship. That said, Kit does have some resource guarding tendencies with other dogs when it comes to food, treats, and favorite chew items, so his forever family will need to be mindful of managing those situations. He does not show this behavior with humans.
Kit is looking for a home that fits his lifestyle. He would do best with someone who is home most of the day, as he thrives on companionship and being part of the daily routine. A calm, low-traffic environment will suit him best, as he prefers a more relaxed pace. He may enjoy a canine companion, but he would also be perfectly content as the center of attention.

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
