“Lennon melted my heart from minute one! She was scared, unsure of herself, and worried she would be left alone again. With reassurance, patience and lots of attention she has settled in nicely. When I returned from the grocery store one day, I was greeted with the sweetest little kisses and happy dance I have every seen! Literally made me tear up! She loves our resident Frenchie (whom is VERY submissive and chill!!!) and she will play and snuggle alongside. When Lennon had her vet check, everyone at the clinic immediately fell in love with her! All comments are always that she is the sweetest dog! My mission for Lennon is that she finally has her person/family that never leaves her behind.”

Story
Make way for this sweet Southern Belle as she has made her way to the available page! This pageant worthy queen will not be on the runway long so get your applications in quickly!
Lennon came to FBRN when her family didn’t feel they had enough time for her, and this beauty queen deserves every moment of your attention. Lennon is smart, sassy and a cuddle bug. She knows several commands – come, sit, stay and down. She loves to play outside and run in the yard. Her favorite pastime is squirrel patrol – none of those pesky critters hang around on her watch! She loves to be with her person, whether its running errands or binging on the latest Netflix hit, Lennon wants to be involved. She has the cutest snorts and loves to roll around on her back! Fun fact, Lennon will paw at your hand if you stop petting her to let you know that she hasn’t had enough love.
Lennon enjoys daily walks and does well on the leash! When Lennon arrived to FBRN care, she was on the thick side! Since living with her foster mom, this pageant beauty has been on a health and wellness journey! Her new forever family needs to continue down this path so our beauty queen gets to her ideal weight. Lots of exercise and appropriate meal servings have her heading in the right direction. Lennon does exhibit resource guarding and needs to be fed separately from other dogs. She will sit nicely and wait to eat until she is told. Lennon would do best as the only dog in the home (unknown if Lennon is good with other animals besides dogs.) or if the resident dog is super chill and more of a submissive personality. Lennon can be dominant and aggressive around dogs that are rambunctious and high energy…..this does not mix well with her personality. Her new forever family must be dog savvy and FBRN’s slow intro must be followed. Kids should be 10+ and also dog savvy. Lennon will declare war on any floor cleaner, leaf blower or broom!
Lennon would thrive in an environment where her family works from home OR she would be a great candidate for going to the office! As long as there is a cuddly bed to snuggle in, she will be content! Lennon would do best in a home with a fenced yard where she can run out her zoomies and stay on top of her squirrel patrol! She could also adapt to apartment living if her new family commits to daily walks and exercise and she is not left alone all day. Lennon was quick to point out every new sound in her foster home, however this has subsided after settling in! Lennon sleeps great! When told to go to bed, she will get snuggled in her comfy dog bed which sits beside her foster moms bed and she will stay until told it’s time to get up! Not saying she wouldn’t love to cuddle in bed with her new person! Lennon has been taught to go up and down her dog stairs/ramp when she goes on the sofa or when allowed up on the bed. All around – she is just a pretty great dog!
Lennon had a mast cell tumor removed with clear margins last year along with an infected anal gland (treated with antibiotics). No current problems or medications at all! Her foster mom gives her a daily probiotic and Dog is Human vitamin. Lennon did great at the vet and also does great with grooming! Yes, even nails! Lennon has a hooded vulva that needs wiped every few days. This could be due to extra weight at time being.
Her foster mom reports, “Lennon melted my heart from minute one! She was scared, unsure of herself, and worried she would be left alone again. With reassurance, patience and lots of attention she has settled in nicely. When I returned from the grocery store one day, I was greeted with the sweetest little kisses and happy dance I have every seen! Literally made me tear up! No votes needed on this beauty queen, she is a 10! So get those applications completed! This contestant is a tad too large to fly so plan on driving to South Carolina to pick her up.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
