Story
FBRN’s lovable, big-hearted boy Lucky is ready to find his forever home! This handsome two-year-old fawn beefcake was surrendered when his previous owner couldn’t provide him with the time and attention he needed.
His foster family quickly discovered that beneath his sturdy frame is the softest soul. He is an affectionate, cuddly companion who wants nothing more than to be close to his people, at all times. Lucky thrives on connection and is a 100 percent Velcro Frenchie who is happiest when curled up beside you or on your lap. He’s also quite the charmer, earning the nickname “Romeo” for his constant efforts to win hearts.
This smart little guy is eager to please and picks up on routines and commands quickly. He’s already house-trained and is even learning to ring a bell when he needs to go outside. Lucky also has a playful side and absolutely loves his toys, especially tennis balls. Give him one, and he’ll happily entertain himself until he’s all tuckered out. When he feels secure and included, Lucky is an easygoing, loving companion. If he feels left out or alone, he may get a bit mischievous and entertain himself by shredding paper or nearby items…so for once “the dog ate my homework” just might be true…oops!
Lucky does experience anxiety, particularly when left alone, and he is looking for a home where someone is around most (if not all) of the day. He is not yet comfortable being crated alone and may become distressed if separated from his people. Because of this, he would do best with a work-from-home person, a stay-at-home caregiver, or someone who can bring him along for daily activities. Looking for a new office buddy? Lucky is a wonderful travel companion and does great in the car, happily joining you for rides and adventures.
Lucky would do well in a variety of homes, whether in the city or suburbs, with our without a fenced in yard. He could live with adults only or a family with respectful children, and he would likely thrive with another dog companion. Because of his strong attachment style, experience with the French Bulldog breed (or similar “Velcro” personalities) will be a big plus. His compatibility with cats or birds is unknown, so for that reason we have to say no to feline friends. Above all, Lucky is a dog who gives his whole heart. He pours everything he has into loving his people and simply asks for that same love in return.
Lucky’s foster family reports, “Lucky understands that his livelihood is dependent on a human so he does everything to ensure that you love him. He gives his 200% to you and he expects love in return. I have often called him my Romeo since he keeps on trying to ‘woo’ me. He definitely is a dog that you will want to love with all your might!”
If you’re looking for a deeply devoted companion who will stick by your side through it all, then Lucky just might be your perfect match. Just be prepared to roadtrip as Luckly is too big to fly.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
