“Milano came to our family as an abandoned stray who was living at the humane society for a month. She was very loveable but very nervous and skiddish around everything new. She was absolutely terrified to go outside, to go up and down the stairs, and be left alone. She is currently loving her new foster life and is acting like the puppy she is. She loves to run and play with her foster frenchie sister. Milano now hops around the house like a little baby lamb, so excited about everything including going outside! She absolutely loves Jeep rides but mostly just loves to be with her person.”

Story
This sweet girl came to FBRN after being found abandoned as a stray during a snowstorm, followed by a month at the humane society. It is safe to say life threw Milano a few curveballs early on, but she has proven to be resilient, affectionate, and ready for her next chapter.
When she first arrived in foster care, Milano was nervous and unsure of the world around her. Stairs were suspicious. Outside was alarming. Being left alone was deeply concerning. But with patience, routine, and the help of her foster family, Milano has blossomed into the puppy she was meant to be. These days, she runs and plays with her foster Frenchie sister, greets life with enthusiasm, and, according to her foster family, hops around the house “like a little baby lamb.” Honestly, that alone may be worth the price of admission.
Milano is a happy camper by nature, with just enough mischief to keep things interesting. She is smart, still learning her obedience basics, and would benefit from continued training. She thrives on companionship and would do best with someone who is home most of the day, works from home, or can take her along for the ride. Literally. Milano loves Jeep rides. She may be part Frenchie, part co-pilot.
She loves kids, enjoys other dogs of all sizes, and would likely be thrilled to have a canine sibling, especially another playful dog to show her the ropes. Cats are unknown. She would do well in many types of homes, from house to apartment, as long as she has her person nearby. Her foster family believes she would even do well accompanying someone to the office. Milano is not looking for square footage. She is looking for togetherness.
Like many Frenchies, Milano comes with a few maintenance notes. She has allergies that require regular Cytopoint injections and medicated baths, and she does have some prior medical history that adopters should be prepared to manage. She also eats like she is training for a competitive speed-eating event, so a slow feeder is a must.
When playtime rolls around, Milano is all in. She is obsessed with Yak chews, loves squeaky toys, and enjoys a good romp with her foster sister. But at the end of the day, her favorite thing is simply being with her people. That is where she shines.
Milano’s foster family says it best, “Milano came to our family as an abandoned stray who was living at the humane society for a month.
If you are looking for a loyal companion with a future career as your full-time passenger princess, Milano may be your girl. All you need to do is apply for her and be ready to pick her up should you be selected.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
