She enjoys short walks, tossing tiny toys around, chasing balls (retrieving them only…bringing them back, is optional), snacking on blueberries, and chewing on her favorite Yak bones and bully sticks. She’s happy to share toys but prefers to enjoy special chews and snacks all to herself…so at mealtime she needs to be fed separate from other dogs. She considers herself a highly skilled food investigator and closely supervises all meals, snacks, crumbs, and suspicious rustling bags. If the refrigerator door opens, you can expect her to be underfoot. If someone drops a piece of food, she appears so quickly that scientists should probably study her. Basically, every night she falls asleep dreaming of pup cups, blueberries, bananas, treats and magical kitchens where roast chicken rains gently from the ceiling.

Story
FBRN’s teeny-tiny Nabi is ready to spread her wings! Nabi’s name means “butterfly” in Korean, and it couldn’t fit her better. This petite Frenchie girl has already shown incredible resilience and has truly transformed into a happy, thriving little girl who is now ready to find her forever family.
Nabi came to FBRN after being surrendered to a veterinary office for euthanasia due to a rectal prolapse. Thankfully, someone saw her worth and gave her the chance she deserved. After two rectal prolapse surgeries and being spayed, this little warrior has recovered beautifully and is living life to the fullest. At just 14 pounds, Nabi may be tiny, but she has absolutely no idea she’s small. She has a huge heart, endless love to give, and approximately zero understanding of personal space. If you’re sitting down, she’s sitting with you. If you’re walking around the house, she’s your tiny shadow. She’s a total Velcro dog who simply wants to be wherever her people are.
Nabi has never met a stranger, as every person she sees instantly becomes her new BFF! She greets every human with enthusiastic little wiggles and tail-less booty dances. She absolutely adores children, adults, and seniors alike and has done wonderfully with toddlers, teenagers, cats, and dogs of all sizes. Whether it’s a tiny Chihuahua or a Great Dane, Nabi assumes every dog she meets is destined to become her lifelong friend.
This cutie pie also LOVES field trips! From the moment Nabi hears car keys jingle, she launches into action. Her little legs blur across the floor as she races to the door to the song “She’s a runner, she’s a track-star” as she’s convinced that every car ride is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Running errands is her specialty. She proudly supervises trips to the bank, Lowes, HomeGoods and the post office, but her favorite destination is…Starbucks! The second the car turns into the drive-thru, she begins vibrating with excitement, because she knows there is a very real possibility that a pup cup is in her future. Nabi is social with an easygoing personality and love of being around people. Seeing running errands is her dream job…she would definitely make an absolutely phenomenal office dog.
At home Nabi has so many favorite things and pastimes.
Nabi is crate trained and about 95% house trained. She does need frequent potty opportunities and needs to go outside right after waking up from naps or sleeping. Because of this, she would do best with a family where someone can come home midday or, even better, bring her along to work. A lower-floor apartment, easy outdoor access, or a home with a yard would make life easier for her. Nabi does have allergies (what exactly those are to, are unknown) so they are still being managed. This also includes some past ear infections. She currently takes Apoquel and receives weekly medicated baths to keep her itchiness under control. She’s also sensitive to heat and chilly mornings, so she appreciates a little extra comfort and care when going out in extreme weather.
Now for full disclosure, Nabi has one tiny flaw among her many, MANY wonderful qualities… she strongly objects to nail trims. But honestly, with the other 99 things there are to love about her, we think that’s a pretty good trade. Nabi has already overcome so much, and through it all she’s remained loving, social, joyful, and endlessly sweet. She’s looking for a family that will give her attention, include her in daily life, and appreciate always having a tiny best friend by their side. If you’ve been searching for a little dog with a huge personality and an even bigger heart, then Nabi might just be the perfect furry companion you’ve been waiting for!
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
