Story
Meet Noelle, a beautiful 5-year-old merle Frenchie who arrived at FBRN in December. While her name suggests holiday cheer, her early years were anything but festive. Noelle spent her first five years as a commercial breeding mama, but she is now discovering life as a cherished pet and is ready to find a true forever home.
Noelle has been friendly with all people and animals she has met so far. She can be a bit cautious at first, which is understandable for a dog learning an entirely new world, but with gentle introductions she settles in quickly. She has even begun roughhousing with her foster mom’s smallest dog. Noelle loves running free in the backyard, so a securely fenced yard is strongly preferred. She will also benefit from an adopter committed to leash training so she can continue to expand her horizons.
This girl is very much a big puppy. She is learning how to play with toys, enjoy new experiences, travel to new places, and perfect her couch potato skills. As she becomes more comfortable, Noelle can get jumpy with excitement. She is looking for a home willing to help her learn boundaries and the rhythms of being a house dog. Kindness, patience, and consistency will go a long way, and the reward is plenty of Frenchie snuggles and enthusiastic kisses.
Noelle is something of a unicorn Frenchie with no major health issues. She did come into rescue with an untreated UTI, and if she does not receive regular potty breaks she may experience some bladder dribbling. She has never been crate trained and can climb over a playpen, so her adoptive family will need to be comfortable allowing her to roam freely in the home.
She would do well as an only dog, with another non-dominant dog who can show her the ropes, or in a home with older children. Noelle can be left alone for several hours at a time, but like all Frenchies she thrives on human connection. When left alone for longer stretches, she will need exercise and engagement before and after to help prevent boredom and unwanted behaviors.
Her foster mom wants potential adopters to know, “Noelle has adapted well to her new found freedom. She is testing out all kinds of new options found in the life of being a pet. These make her a delight to watch. She is a bit like a puppy, but with the calm of an older dog, and not too much training required.”
Noelle is ready for someone willing to guide her, support her, and let her finally shine. If you think she might belong in your home, click the link and apply to make her part of your family.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. Noelle is fine with a car ride, so buckle up for a road trip!
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
About Noelle
Noelle had spay surgery on 12.17.2025.
Noelle has a history of recurrent UTIs, that should be monitored for recurrence. She is not incontinent, but she occasionally dribbles urine if her bladder is too full.
