“Twas a few weeks before Christmas, up in Jersey land
One creature was stirring with a wish list in hand.
Her name was Orla and she was a beautiful pup.
She asked Santa for a family, as her time in foster was up.

“I’ve been very good”, Orla had written.
“When my Foster Mom met me, she was immediately smitten!
I can play with dogs, or kids – even myself!
I sleep at night in my crate, like a good little elf!

City condo or house with a yard,
Any will suit me – so it shouldn’t be hard.
I just want to be near people and spend the rest of my days,
Making them happy in all sorts of ways.

Oh please, dear Santa – Jolly Old Saint Nick.
Find me my family, and do so real quick.”

Orla is a 7-month old merle puppy who was surrendered to FBRN by her vet after her family realized they were not able to take on the expenses involved with treating parvovirus. She had a 10-day stay at the hospital, but thankfully has made a full recovery. She is now ready to find her forever home!

Orla is a very sweet puppy who likes to be with her people as much as possible. While she loves being with people, she entertains herself and does not need to be with her humas 24/7. She is crate trained and sleeps in one at night. She does well alone for several hours at a time, but since she is a young puppy, she would benefit from a consistent routine to help her perfect her potty manners. She is still very much a puppy and plays hard, only to be followed by a big nap.

Here is what her foster mom says about her, ” Orla is a great puppy and is a total love bug. She has the best personality, wants to give you kisses – and just be near you. She loves all people, kids and dogs. She believes the world is her oyster and everyone is here to play with her. She loves going on walks around the neighborhood, greeting and getting attention from everyone. She has the best disposition. She gets up happy and ready to play. She will play be herself, but would rather have you throw a ball for her. She loves to snuggle beside you once she has worn herself out from playing. She believes we are all here just to keep her happy.”

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
