“From the moment you meet him, there’s something about him that just sticks with you. Maybe it’s the way his whole face lights up when he sees you, like you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to him. Or how he leans into you for comfort and connection — like he’s been waiting his whole life for someone to stay.
Paddy isn’t just looking for a place to live, he’s looking for his person. The one he can follow from room to room, the one he can curl up next to at the end of the day, the one he can finally call his forever.
He has that perfect balance of playful energy and deep affection — the kind of dog who will make you laugh, then quietly rest his head on you like he knows exactly what you need.
There’s something incredibly special about a dog like Paddy. He doesn’t take love for granted. He chooses it, fully and wholeheartedly.”

Story
Paddington sports a personality that is jolly, energetic, and sometimes mischievous. If he can’t find some toys to play with then watch out, he might just take a shoe, a purse, or maybe even a dog bed to play with. Paddington has a fear of missing out, especially if you’re in a different room and he knows that you’re having fun. At that point Paddington will make his voice known that he wants to enjoy time with you on the secret mission he thinks he wasn’t allowed to go on. Paddington loves his crate and feels safe there. He enjoys chewing on bones, playing tug of war, or chewing on his stuffies.
This boy is housebroken and crate trained. Currently his foster mom is working on having Paddington ring a bell when he needs to go out. However, if Paddington doesn’t ring the bell, he is definitely vocal and will let you know when he needs to go outside and do his business.
Paddington would best be placed in a house with no stairs or limited stairs due to his knees. Paddington would need to be carried up and down the stairs. Paddington absolutely adores his Frenchie foster sister, lives with resident cats and has been around teens. Paddington needs to find a family that understands and is mindful of his physical limitations. Anything that could potentially hurt his kneecaps should be avoided. Paddington would do fine with children as long as they understand that this boy could not do a 5 mile hike. He would thrive in a household with another dog as he loves to play.
Paddington’s foster mom had this to say about him: “From the moment you meet him, there’s something about him that just sticks with you. Maybe it’s the way his whole face lights up when he sees you, like you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to him. Or how he leans into you for comfort and connection — like he’s been waiting his whole life for someone to stay.

If you’re ready to have some more adventures with Paddington and think you have the perfect, no stair home for him, then all you need to do is apply for him. Then be ready to pick him up. Should you be selected as his forever home.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
