‘Let’s go girls!’ Shania has made her way onto the available page! Shania was tearfully surrendered to FBRN along with her sister due to a family member developing severe dog allergies. But Shania, she ‘aint no quitter.’ ‘She’s not just a pretty face’ and would like to be the center of your world!

All of her singing left her with some breathing issues, so she took a break from the spotlight and had nares and pallet surgery while in foster care. Her breathing is much better, but she still overexcited quite easily. Short walks up and down the stage are all this girl needs. Her surrendering family reported that she has seasonal allergies that might require special care, but she has been asymptomatic while in foster care.

When she is not in the spotlight, her favorite thing to do is snuggle with her humans or sister. But like any Diva, she would prefer her humans be around as much as possible. She would make a perfect office dog! She also doesn’t mind some alone time, as long as someone can take her out mid-day take care of her business, including meeting with her adoring fans. And like any well-trained performer, she doesn’t jump on people or chew on things she shouldn’t. Her perfect day is just hanging out at home with her humans and an adoring furry sibling or two.

Shania has lived with multiple other dogs, from a Chihuahua to an English Bulldog. While she may act like other dogs ‘don’t impress her much,’ she would do best going to a home with another dog or two to be her companion(s). Like the superstar she is, she believes all the attention should be on her and can be a little pushy, but is easily corrected. We are happy to report that she is NOT a resource guarder. She is fully potty trained and goes to the door if she has to do her business. Like a true professional, she knows all the basic commands.

‘Man, she feels like a Frenchie,’ but she loves all people, no matter what their age. She even did well with her foster mom’s 4-year-old granddaughter. She is not a barker, so would be fine in an apartment. She would say, ‘Honey, I’m Home’, even to a first-time Frenchie adopter.

Shania’s foster mom has this to say about her: “Shania is a beautiful Frenchie princess and so very smart. She definitely loves attention and will push her way to the front of the line to get it. Whenever we are out and about everyone comments on her beauty. We have really enjoyed this little firecracker.”

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. However, Shania is a petite Frenchie who could fly in the cabin with her potential adopter. She is also great in a car.
