Teddy loves being a part of the action – older kids (small children can be a bit overwhelming), all kinds of dogs and people are his kryptonite. He loves to be in the middle of a big pack, not overly submissive or dominant. A stay-at-home person would be a real plus, because he does not love being alone.

Story
Life interrupted. Teddy came from a loving family, who knew he needed more time and attention than they could give. And a pack – he loves being one of the gang. So the bottom line is that he needs to find a family who will finish his happily ever after.
This cream puff is lazy guy in general who loves to hang out on the couch, watch TV with his tongue hanging out and snuggle with his humans. He will even bark at the screen if other animals enter the story! The only other times he gets really fired up is when you have a ball or when it is meal time. Then he will spin in circles and will make you laugh with his antics. He is not a big fan of walks and will refuse to walk on leash at times, so a fenced in yard is strongly preferred. However, he is completely house trained and really enjoys sniffing around and exploring the outdoors.

Teddy has a reason to be anxious. He appears to be completely deaf. When he is sleeping, it takes physically touching him to wake him. He does not respond to loud noises at all. He is completely oblivious to all sounds around him. He doesn’t respond to verbal cues. If you motion to him with excitement, he will come most of the time though. He also can be a mild resource guarder (who wouldn’t be if you can’t hear if someone is going to steal your cheese!), so feeding him separately and firm boundaries are important.
But with the right home, filled with people and dogs that can keep him safe, he will thrive. Are you Theodore’s happily ever after family? His safety net? Can you provide him with a soft, safe place to land? If you are, your life will be filled with a special kind of love. Click the link below and apply. A dog like Theodore only comes along once in a lifetime.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
