“Valentine is a very easy-going little lady. She loves attention, but it’s also content to chew on toys all by herself. She is going to make someone so happy as their new best friend! I truly believe that she had not been in a home before she came to us and her resilience and adaptability were so heartwarming to witness. I can’t wait for her to find her new forever family. Just one question, can she be your Valentine?”

Story
Get ready to have your heart stolen by Valentine. This three-year-old girl was found as a stray before making her way to FBRN, and now she’s ready to find a forever home of her own.
Valentine is a pretty laid back girl. She’s content to entertain herself, but is just as happy soaking up attention from her people. She does have a stubborn streak when it comes to her crate. Treats won’t win this battle, but she’s more than happy to be carried in like the royalty she believes she is. Once settled, she’s perfectly quiet.
She has a history of ear infections that will need to be monitored, along with dry eye that is well managed with twice daily medicated drops.
Valentine is the total package when it comes to companionship. She gets along with dogs, cats, and children, and approaches everyone with a gentle and curious nature. She prefers dogs her own size and energy level, and while she has met larger, more playful dogs, their enthusiasm can be a bit much for her. She currently lives with dog-savvy cats and enjoys playing, but should be supervised to keep things from getting too enthusiastic.
Valentine would do well in any type of environment as long as she had someone to love her and a similarly matched canine companion. She is both house and crate trained, and would be especially happy in a home where someone is around often.
Valentine is a girl of adventure and loves a good road trip. When asking her to come along, she should be restrained in the car seat. That is unless you prefer to have her on your lap or shoulder.
Valentine’s foster mom had this to say about her, “Valentine is a very easy-going little lady.
If you think that Valentine would be a perfect fit for your heart, all you need to do is apply to adopt her and be ready to pick her up should you be selected.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
