This sweet six-year-old girl was found as a stray and arrived at a Long Island shelter underweight and in need of a little extra TLC. She was dealing with ear infections, irritated skin, hair loss, and a yeasty tail pocket, but thanks to the care she has already received, she is making wonderful progress. Her ears have healed, her skin is improving, and her beautiful coat is slowly growing back.

Cordelia is still working on gaining a few healthy pounds and rebuilding strength in her back legs, as she has a slight hitch in her gait. She will continue to be monitored as she settles into foster care, but she is already showing just how resilient she is.

While she may be a bit of a “feral little Frenchie” when it comes to house manners, Cordelia is incredibly sweet and loves people. Potty training is a work in progress, but with plenty of positive reinforcement and a few irresistible crunchy treats, we think she will catch on in no time. She has also begun meeting her foster Frenchie sibling through the safety of baby gates, and so far, everyone is more curious than anything else.
