Please join us in welcoming sweet Della to FBRN! Della is a five-year-old girl in Northern California who came to FBRN from a shelter after being surrendered by her owner due to a reported “lack of time.” Sadly, that description barely scratches the surface. Her paperwork indicates that Della was left alone in a garage for up to 24 hours a day. For a dog who thrives on companionship, comfort, and love, that kind of isolation is heartbreaking. But those days are officially behind her – never again, Della.

Despite everything she has endured, Della’s spirit remains gentle and hopeful. She is an absolute sweetheart with a lot to say and a personality that shines brighter each day. This tiny girl weighs just 19 pounds and is currently dealing with severe periodontal disease, which she will need care for as she continues her journey toward better health.

Della is now settling into her foster home and soaking up all the things she missed out on before: soft beds, kind voices, and most of all, affection. She loves to cuddle and clearly wants to be close to her people, finally getting the attention and security she has always deserved.
