Please welcome Hyacinth to FBRN! This petite four-year-old gal weighs just 16 pounds and is already proving to be a gentle, affectionate little companion who prefers to stay close to her people.

Hyacinth came from a backyard breeder and has had several litters, so she is still learning what life in a home is all about. New sounds and surroundings can make her a bit unsure, but she is already making steady progress and gaining confidence each day.

She is doing very well with housetraining, with only one accident so far, which is especially impressive given how new everything is to her. At night, she sleeps comfortably in her crate, which seems to be her safe and cozy space.

Hyacinth gets along beautifully with other animals. She has been easygoing with a larger dog and shows little interest in cats, taking everything in stride. She also has a healthy appetite and never misses a meal. Toys are still a bit of a mystery to her, but we expect that to change as she continues to settle in and discover more about her new world.

Medically, Hyacinth will need to be spayed and has a growth in her throat that will need attention, along with some recent hair loss and itchy skin. With regular care and a few spa days, she should be feeling more comfortable soon.
