Please welcome Jennyanydots, or Jenny as she is affectionately known, to FBRN! It may be quite a name, but Jenny has quite a story to match. So, welcome to the Jellicle Ball!

Jenny was originally given away by her breeder, and her new owner reached out to FBRN after realizing that Jenny was pregnant and that she could not afford the potential cost of a C-section. Jenny was quickly brought into FBRN, where a veterinarian confirmed that she was carrying five puppies. She was transported to New Jersey shortly afterward and underwent a C-section the following day, welcoming five puppies into the world.

Motherhood, however, was not exactly Jenny’s calling. She did not produce milk and showed little interest in caring for the puppies, so she is more than happy to leave that job to the humans. Instead, Jenny has been busy learning the basics of being a dog. Her foster sister is showing her the ropes, including the finer points of Benebones, tennis balls, playing, and, perhaps most importantly, snuggling.

Jenny has had more than her share of challenges. She is heartworm and hookworm positive, has only one ovary, and does not appear to be familiar with the life of a pet. She has started heartworm treatment and is gaining strength and confidence every day. She is mostly housebroken, incredibly sweet and gentle, and very much a Velcro girl who simply wants to be near her people and her foster sister.

Jenny is still figuring out what it means to be a happy Frenchie, but she is making progress every day. We look forward to watching her transformation as she discovers toys, snuggles, and all the other good things that come with being a dog. She certainly has quite a story to tell, and we suspect her next chapter is going to be her best one yet.
