Lovely Lou has officially joined the FBRN crew! This sturdy 30-pound boy was being given away on the Nextdoor app before a good Samaritan stepped in to make sure he landed somewhere safe. With no vet records to guide us, we estimate Lou to be around 2 to 3 years old. What we do know for certain is that he is one very handsome guy!

Lou arrived with some classic Frenchie concerns, including itchy skin, gunky ears, and a case of hookworm, which is already being treated. His neuter is also on the schedule, so he is well on his way to feeling his best.

His personality is just starting to shine through. Lou is a laid-back kind of fellow who enjoys a good lounge, but he is equally capable of an enthusiastic zoomie session, often finishing with a wiggle on his back. He has also discovered that he can jump and seems quite pleased with this talent, so etiquette lessons have commenced. Housebreaking is coming along nicely as well. He’s currently an honor student, just not quite getting straight-A’s yet.
