Please welcome Marilou to FBRN!This little lady has had quite the journey to get here. She is estimated to be around five years old and was originally found as a stray in Detroit before being rescued by a good Samaritan.

We do not know much about her past, but it appears that she has had at least one litter, and she arrived barely able to hear because of the condition of her ears. With diligent care from her foster mom, we are happy to report that her ears are starting to heal and she is able to hear again.

Even though she has not had the easiest past, she is sweet and incredibly loving. She’s enjoying learning about the comforts of home life and what it’s like to be part of a family. She is great with her foster canine brother and is even fantastic with the resident cat. Marilou is making up for lost time while in foster care and has already experienced a lot of firsts: from trying on costumes to going camping, taking car rides, and enjoying walks. She’s aced all of these experiences and has decided the life of an adored pet is for her.

Her new name is inspired by an Olympic gymnast, which is just perfect for her! She’s petite, loves to hop around, and even shows off some adorable little spins. Marilou came into FBRN without much, so if you would like to donate towards her care, please click the link above.
