“He’s a good boy, but he needs patience and a sense of humor. He’s heard a few swear words from us, and then we laugh because he’s just so funny! When he gets to be too much, a few treats and some simple cues like sit, down, and crate are all it takes to help him reset. Maurice has done so well with structure and consistency. He’s young, incredibly smart, and we know he’ll make an amazing companion for someone willing to give him the routine he needs.”

Story
We have fireworks of our own to celebrate because Maurice has officially made his way to the Available page! This handsome young Frenchie is full of personality, charm, and just the right amount of puppy mischief. Maurice came to FBRN after his previous family found themselves overwhelmed by his youthful energy and puppy mouthing. Now he’s looking for a forever home that will embrace all the fun that comes with raising a smart, active young Frenchie.
Maurice is equal parts comedian and cuddle bug. One minute he’s proudly parading through the house with a kitchen towel, shoe, throw pillow, rug, rock, or dog bowl, hoping someone will chase him. The next, he’s happily curled up in your lap or snoozing beside you once the excitement has settled down. While his mischievous habits have improved with structure and consistency, his forever family should expect a little regression as he adjusts to a new home and be ready to keep reinforcing his good manners.
When he’s not inventing his own games, Maurice enjoys chasing lizards and frogs, attempting to catch flies from the windowsill, chewing on a good yak chew, and spending time outdoors. A fenced yard would be a dream come true for this boy, whether he’s exploring, soaking up the sunshine, or simply wandering around to inspect his kingdom.
Maurice enjoys the company of children, though his size and enthusiasm could easily knock over little ones during play. He also gets along well with the three resident French Bulldogs in his foster home and would love a canine companion who enjoys puppy play and doesn’t mind sharing the spotlight, or occasionally surrendering a toy.
Maurice is house trained and crate trained. While he doesn’t consistently ask to go outside beyond waiting by the door, he does well on a routine. His crate has become a safe place where he’ll happily settle down for a treat, a nap, or whenever he needs a little break from all the excitement.
Maurice could thrive in many different homes, whether with a family, a couple, or a single adopter. First-time Frenchie owners are welcome, provided they’re ready to offer patience, consistency, and a good sense of humor. He loves car rides and would happily tag along on errands or adventures. If he joined you at the office, he’d appreciate a quiet spot to relax after making the rounds to greet all of your coworkers.
His foster family shares, “He’s a good boy, but he needs patience and a sense of humor.
Maurice is ready to trade puppy shenanigans for a lifetime of love with a family who appreciates his playful spirit. If you think Maurice could be the perfect addition to your home, complete an application and be ready to welcome this lovable goofball into your family.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
