Meet the newest little treat in the FBRN cookie jar – it’s Milano!

Milano was abandoned after she suffered a vaginal prolapse, and was picked up as a shivering stray during a cold snap in the Northeast. The kind folks at the local shelter took care of her for a month, and then turned her over to FBRN when it became apparent that she needed some extra TLC before she could be adopted. She was absolutely adored by the shelter staff, who showered her with pets and kisses (and a few tears!) before she left with her FBRN foster mom.

Milano has since established herself as the ultimate Velcro Frenchie, following foster mom from room to room and always making herself available for a little scritchy-stratch on the head. Milano loves to cuddle (preferably on a lap) and has a personality as sweet as her namesake. She gets ridiculously excited at every mealtime, and equally so when it’s time to ride shotgun in foster mom’s Jeep.

Milano’s primary challenge is that she is terrified to go outside, which has definitely put a crimp in the whole housetraining business. Foster mom is working hard to build Milano’s confidence, and to teach her that she’s safe and loved whether inside the house or out.
