Sweet Pebbles came into FBRN’s care after suddenly losing the ability to walk due to IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease). She received immediate medical attention, including an MRI and several days in intensive care.

Despite every effort, Pebbles’ condition continued to decline overnight. Her medical team determined she was suffering from myelomalacia, a heartbreaking and untreatable complication of spinal cord injury. Surrounded by care and compassion, she was gently helped across the Rainbow Bridge before respiratory distress could begin. Though her time with us was far too short, Pebbles knew comfort, love, and dignity and that’s because of our community.
