“Snacks is a one of a kind gentle pup. He has so much love to give to anyone willing to pet him. He doesn’t love belly rubs but loves behind the ears and hip scratches. He struggled for so long and had so many issues fixed. He had a long journey but the vet team was able to figure out what works for him. He has such a unique personality I haven’t ever seen in a dog. He is devoted pup ready to cuddle.”

Some snacks are sweet and some are salty but we think you will agree that none are as delicious as the one we have for you! Snacks has arrived on the available page and he’s ready to find his forever family!

This happy, well-mannered boy came to FBRN when his expanding family found his severe allergies too difficult to manage. Poor Snacks was in rough shape with stinky, itchy skin and sporting a cone of shame. With the help of FBRN and his dedicated foster family, Snacks is now in tip top shape and ready to find his forever home! With some diligence, a regimen was found that will keep Snacks’ allergies at bay. His condition does require a lot of attention and daily maintenance which his new family must be prepared to manage. He takes daily Apoquel as well as monthly Cytopoint injections to keep his itchies under control. He needs two baths weekly as well as his paws wiped down after playing outside, or his skin will become inflamed.

Snacks is a sweet boy who wants nothing more than a human that he can follow around and a lap to snuggle on. He does require a bit of extra attention and care so a home where someone is home all day is preferred. Snacks would do best in a single family home where he cannot disturb his neighbors as he tends to get excited and jump and bark loudly at the doorbell. He would also make a great office companion as he’s super chill and enjoys everyone he meets!

He is housebroken, gets along with cats and he thinks other dogs are OK although he prefers to keep to himself and doesn’t engage in play with them. Snacks enjoys trips to the beach or just hanging with his people outdoors soaking up those sunny rays. When he’s not cozying up to his favorite human, Snacks can be found snuggled up in his beloved dog bed enjoying a bully stick or a favorite squeaky toy.

Here’s what Snacks’ foster mom wants everyone to know, “Snacks is a one of a kind gentle pup.

Does Snacks sound like the treat you’ve been craving? If so fill out an application and start heading for Florida! At 27 pounds Snacks is too big to fly but he’s down for a road trip. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
