It’s with a heavy heart that I the rescue know that our dear beloved Winston passed away peacefully in his sleep during the night.

We adopted Winston (or Pistachio as he was known as by FBRN) in January of 2017. He quickly (the same day) worked his was into our hearts and became a full fledged family member. We were so honored to be his people. He was the center of our universe and I can’t imagine life without him. He was a senior citizen when we adopted him (about 8 years old) so we were fully aware that we would never have him with us as long as we would like (eternity still wouldn’t have been long enough) but we are so thankful for the short years we were blessed with him. He was my husband’s best man at our wedding! He was extremely healthy for an old man and we will be forever grateful that he was never sick or in any pain. He simply went to sleep with his head laying on his favorite toy (that he still had from his foster family)
