“Annie deserves a lot of love! She has touched my heart, and I will definitely miss her sweet and loving disposition! She has never had an accident in my house. She is easy to feed as long as her food has been softened ahead of time. She loves her bath time and will go right into the shower to get clean. She also loves her teeth brushed and ears cleaned and nails clipped. What else can you ask for? She was used to breed and had three litters and she is now enjoying retirement. Annie gets little bursts of energy that crack me up especially when you get home after work or shopping. If you do not like a shadow, Annie is not for you. She follows you even to the bathroom. She is very dependent on her person and will smother you with her wet kisses. She will be a Love Bug!”

Story
Please welcome Annie to the available page! Annie was originally used for breeding, but thankfully left that life behind years ago and was most recently a pet with a loving owner. Annie was surrendered by her previous owner who could no longer care for her due to some personal health issues.
Healthwise, Annie is in very good shape! Her foster mom says that Annie is blissfully unaware that she is a senior lady and does not act a day over three! Annie is allergic to Glycerin in dog treats and food, so she is on a special diet – Hills Science Diet Light small bites softened with water. Annie does very well in cars, but she does get car sick, so medication is needed for longer trips.
Annie is a typical “Velcro” Frenchie and wants to be with her foster mom at all times, whether on her lap or following her around the house. She can be competitive for attention with her four-legged foster siblings, but her foster mom says she has learned to share foster mom’s lap, and all is well with them. While they are both much larger than her in size, she is just as big as they are in her mind.
Annie is house-broken and has never had an accident while in foster care. She is on a schedule now where she normally goes out every 4 hours with the family dogs. She sleeps wonderfully through the night. While she will sleep in her crate, she would much rather be in the bed with her foster mom. The good news is she’s a good co-sleeper and she hardly moves and does not snore. She loves exploring the fenced yard and rolling in the grass. Annie is very mellow and not disruptive around guests, so would do well in an office setting.
Annie’s ideal home is anywhere her people are. She would love to be with someone who is home much of the day, but she has managed to spend a few hours alone at her foster mom’s house without incident. When she is not sunbathing and looking out the window, Annie loves squeaky toys and Nyla bones. Annie does like to be top dog and if there are other dogs in the household, a slow intro and firm rules will be necessary since Annie can be a resource guarder. First time Frenchie owners would be fine since Annie does not have any serious medical issues at this time. She’s generally mellow and rarely barks.
Her foster mom wants you to know that, “Annie deserves a lot of love! She has touched my heart, and I will definitely miss her sweet and loving disposition! She has never had an accident in my house. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. Annie would love to have you fill out an application and perhaps get to pick her up and take her to her forever home. Annie is very well behaved in the car, but she does get car sick. She would need anti-nausea meds for a long trip.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations and we do not set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
About Annie
Annie has a food allergy to Glycerin and should remain on softened Hills Science Diet Light Small Bites.
Annie is a resource guarder so must never be around small children. She must be monitored during feeding and when toys are present. A slow intro is required if there are other dogs in the home.
