Athena : “I am a stay-at-home Mum and have been here for these two love bugs every day. They are used to me having to pop in and out. They are crate trained and always sleep together. Athena does however have a penchant for cat litter. We have been training her not to do this, however it is a hard one to train as anyone who knows bulldogs will be aware.”
Hermes : “Hermes and his sister Athena, the two mischiefs, are a wonderful, bonded pair. They rambunctiously play well together, wash each other and snuggle up.”

Story of Athena
Are you looking for an adorable Frenchie girl who comes with her brother in tow? Athena has made her way to the available page. She and her brother Hermes were surrendered by their family after their allergies got to be too much to handle. Athena is two years old and while she is adorable, looks can be deceiving. She likes to play coy yet has a penchant for mischief. This mischief might also include kitty litter. Her foster mom has been working hard to break her bad habit with that, though we all know how stubborn Frenchies can be.
Athena loves kids, cats, and other dogs (especially her brother). She has also fallen in love with Himalayan yak chews and stuffies. She loves her walks and, when approached on them by kids, she wants to meet them all. If she meets other dogs, she wants nothing more than to play with them. When she is not playing or making mischief, she loves snuggling up with her brother. The most adorable thing is them cuddled up at night!
Athena and her brother came into FBRN with allergies. In the end, these turned out to be more due to the food that they were eating. Athena is crate trained and housebroken. Athena and her brother would love to be in a home where they could play all day and snuggle at night. If they have a home with a yard, then a fence is a must for them. They would also do well in an apartment provided someone was with them at all times. Athena has gotten used to having someone home with her all day so she would like someone that works for home or could at least come and let them out during the day.
Their foster mom has this to say about them, “I am a stay-at-home Mum and have been here for these two love bugs every day. They are used to me having to pop in and out. They are crate trained and always sleep together. Athena does however have a penchant for cat litter. We have been training her not to do this, however it is a hard one to train as anyone who knows bulldogs will be aware.”
If you have been looking for not one but two adorable Frenchies to add to your life, consider applying for Athena so she and Hermes can play the day away and give you more to snuggle with. All you need to do is fill out an application and be ready to pick them up should you be selected as their forever family.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
Story of Hermes
We’re excited to welcome Hermes to the available page! Hermes and his bonded sister Athena came to FBRN when their family was no longer able to provide for them.
Personality-wise, Hermes and his sister are very playful and extremely loving. Being young, Hermes can be quite a busy boy whether in the yard or the house. He enjoys his toys, especially strong chew toys and safe stuffies. Hermes and Athena love to go for walks and want to be greeted and pet by everyone they meet. They also enjoy meeting other dogs and like to play. True to being a Frenchie, Hermes really enjoys his humans and will gladly snuggle with them on the couch.
Health-wise, Hermes is in great shape with no known allergies or physical problems. It was thought he might have allergies upon arrival at FBRN, but they have not manifested. Hermes is housebroken and travels well. He and Athena just sit in their car seats and stare out the window. While Hermes might like an office setting, getting work done might be an issue because he would want to play or snuggle all day. In foster, Hermes and Athena have open crates where they can go for quiet time and they feel very comfortable. Hermes and Athena need a fenced yard for play time with all that young dog energy.
Hermes and Athena would do well in any home where they are loved. If no one is home during day, someone would need to come home mid-day to give them a potty break and some play time. Being young and busy as they are, having a family with folks in and out all day would be ideal. A couple with someone working from home would also work very well since there would always be someone to play or sit with.
Thoughts from Hermes’ foster Mom, “Hermes and his sister Athena, the two mischiefs, are a wonderful, bonded pair. They rambunctiously play well together, wash each other and snuggle up.”
Some of the best things come in pairs (Twix bars, shoes, glasses) so if this pair of Frenchies has caught your eye, submit your application for both. They absolutely love car rides so distance won’t be a factor.
