“Baxter is the absolute sweetest little man! (Well, not so little!) He is a Velcro dog who loves humans—whether that is playing fetch, tug-of-war or just chilling on the couch. He also sits in my home office while I work. Love bug just doesn’t say enough about him. It’s unfortunate that he lost ‘his person’ in late June. As I understand it, he primarily slept in this elderly man’s lap. He’s crate trained now—doesn’t go in on his own, but once there he is quiet until morning. Baxter truly deserves a loving home where he can be the center of attention and have plenty of time with his humans.”
“Baxter is absolutely perfect—his health is amazing, no allergies, and he honestly sheds less than my two! He doesn’t jump on visitors, but he definitely ensures they show him some love! He is the type of dog who will warm your heart. We will definitely miss this chunky ball of joy!”

Story
If you prefer your Frenchies super-sized, then have we have the dog for you! It’s Baxter, who is XXL in both size and snuggleability (that’s a word, right?) and is making his grand debut on the Available Page.
Four-year-old Baxter came into the FBRN fold after his elderly owner passed away. It’s clear that Baxter was dearly loved, and our goal is to find him a family who will cherish him just as much. Of course, that job is much easier when the dog in question is 38 pounds of pure Frenchie love. Baxter is sweeter than a pumpkin spice latte and has charmed the pants off of every man, woman, and child who have been fortunate enough to cross his path. He is a happy-go-lucky boy who enjoys vigorous games of fetch followed by snooze sessions on the couch. While he walks beautifully on a leash, he’s not a huge fan of the great outdoors. A quick trip outside for a potty break is fine, and then it’s back to his comfy blankets and chew toys.
Speaking of potty, Baxter needs to be on a regular schedule to avoid any unfortunate mishaps in the house. His original owner trained him to go on indoor pee pads, and while Baxter has since learned that the grass outside is an equally valid place to do his business, he needs to be given plenty of opportunities to do it there. Otherwise, he will treat the living room rug as a de facto pee pad, and nobody wins that game. Baxter is leash-trained and crate-trained, and snoozes happily through the night in his crate with his favorite cozy blankets. If you open the Oxford dictionary to “creature of comfort,” there very well may be a photo of Baxter there, snoring away.
The ideal home for Baxter is one where he can be the apple of his owner’s eye. Baxter is the very definition of a Velcro dog and wants nothing more than to be with his people, all day every day. He gets along fine with other dogs, but he has zero interest in playing with them or otherwise interacting—it’s all about the humans for this guy. He can be left alone occasionally for a few hours at a time, but is not the type of dog who can stay home while his person is at work. Conversely, Baxter would be absolutely thrilled to accompany his owner to the workplace, where he’s likely to set a new record for consecutive “Employee of the Month” honors.
Baxter’s foster mom is understandably over the moon with this darling boy, and tells us, “Baxter is the absolute sweetest little man! (Well, not so little!)
