Story
Say hello to Beckett! This sweet boy needs a soft place to land: a home filled with kindness and love. We don’t know exactly what Beckett went through before coming to FBRN, but we do know it wasn’t good. He was found abandoned at a pet store groomer in heartbreaking condition – filthy, emaciated, and unable to stand. After a week at the emergency vet and lots of love from his foster family, he’s back to being a happy pup and is ready for his forever home. Could you provide the right nest for this beautiful, sweet boy?
Beckett is a social butterfly who gets along with dogs big and small and absolutely adores kids. He has his active, playful moments, as well as his snuggly, loving moments and will make a great companion for a lucky family. Like any boy living his good life, he can get a little rough during play and needs to be reminded to be gentle but he is very eager to learn. With that said, he would be best with children who are dog savvy. He hasn’t been tested with cats, so for that reason we are looking for a kitty free home.
Due to his early neglect, Beckett has a medical condition that affects his ability to control elimination. His sphincters do not completely close so he spends his time outside of his crate in diapers. Anyone considering adoption needs to know that Beckett needs TLC: his backside needs to be wiped, cleaned and diapered multiple times a day. His crate area also needs daily attention, and he’s on food supplements to support his health.
Now that he is healthy and happy, all he wants to do is play! He loves walks and dog parks, playing well with big dogs, small dogs, kids, adults, you name it! He absolutely loves stuffed toys, balls and chew bones. Beckett is up for any adventure with his people and is an excellent traveler.
Given his rough start in life, he it would be wonderful if he found a forever home where someone is home most of the time so he doesn’t have to spend too much time in his crate. A fenced yard would be a big bonus to help burn off some of his playful energy. He loves his food and likes to forage. Anything he finds is fair game, so his owner needs to keep an eye on him.
Beckett’s foster mom has this to say about him: “Beckett has had a very rough start to his young life but he is now living his best life. He deserves a family that matches his fun, loving and affectionate personality.”
Beckett is ready to find his forever family. Is your nest fluffed and ready? Apply and give this boy the soft place to land he deserves.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. Since Beckett has filled out, he is now too big to fly, so potential adopters must be ready to pick him up.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes.
For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
