“Bettyboo is one of the most loving and friendly dogs I have fostered. Everyone who has met her just loves her. Her laid-back personality and her ability to love everyone who she comes in contact with is so special. She has this floppy tongue that sometimes sticks out the side of her mouth and makes her look goofy but don’t underestimate her she is very smart. She is very food driven and we have taught her to sit and calm down before we give her bowl to her. She is definitely going to be someone’s best friend!!”

Story
“You my BettyBoo thang
So, I don’t give a paw what your mom say
Girl, I know
You a lil’ too tame
I’ll be barking that bark like you just came
(On the available page)
Girl, I know
Tell ‘em you’re, tell ‘em you’re next!”
This one year old chocolate cutie pie with an adorable tail has finally made her way to the available page! BettyBoo was found as a stray in California and taken to a local shelter. She is guess-timated to be around one year of age and came into FBRN with severe skin issues. Thankfully with Cytopoint injections and medicated baths, her fur has flourished and she’s a much happier girl. Aside from allergies, she is prone to ear infections so her new paw-rents will need to continue her allergy regimen and monitor for any ear issues. BettyBoo does display some signs of brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome (BOAS) so this will need to be monitored as she gets older and may eventually require medical intervention.
BettyBoo is described as a “happy dog” who “loves to play and wrestle” with other dogs. She has displayed some dominance with the bigger dogs in her foster home so a home with a similar same-sized laid-back pup would be best. She has not had any exposure to cats, so for that reason, we are going to have to say no to homes with kitties. She will also need some time devoted to improving her leash skills, solidifying her house training (not 100% perfect yet) and working on her puppy manners. This beautiful girl is still a puppy at heart so children over the age of 10 would be best.
In true Frenchie fashion, BettyBoo loves snuggling with her humans and napping. Her other pastimes and loves include playing tug and chewing on antlers and bones. While a fenced yard is preferred, BettyBoo would thrive in any loving home. She would be ecstatic if her new humans worked from home but would also be A-OK with a midday potty break and check in.
This is what BettyBoo’s foster mom has to say about her, “Bettyboo is one of the most loving and friendly dogs I have fostered. She is definitely going to be someone’s best friend!!
