“Blue loves being part of the family! He wants nothing more than to be with his humans all the time. He’ll be your constant shadow and follow you wherever you go. He has a lot of potential and will thrive in a structured environment with a regular routine to help him feel secure. He can be a bit of a bulldozer at time with selective hearing, but ultimately, he is actually very submissive and eager to please in general. He’ll make someone very happy!”

Story
The Olympics may be over, but don’t tell this all-star. He is ready to find his home team! Start lining up to recruit our dog Blue to be a part of your squad. Blue LOVES playing with balls of all sizes. He will fetch, carry around a basketball in his mouth, or even pass the ball back to you.
This energetic four-year-old MVP was selflessly surrendered to FBRN’s care due to his previous owners no longer being able to give him the attention he deserves.
In addition to basketball, he also is a champion goofball. He is a happy, friendly guy that will make you laugh with all his antics. He spends his contract money going shopping in his toy basket! The vacuum is his mortal enemy and he will attack to ensure everyone’s safety. He is an active pup who would love to be part of a team that loves to exercise and include him in all activities. He absolutely LOVES fetch so a fenced yard where he perfect his sport would be ideal.
Blue is nearly pawfect, but he does suffer from those pesky Frenchie allergies. Thankfully they are easily managed with Cytopoint injections every 6-8 weeks. In his previous home he had a disc herniation, but he has fully recovered. Anyone lucky enough to adopt this sweet fella will have to make sure his skin regiment is maintained with medication and treat him to occasional day at the dog spa. And even though this boy excels on the court, stairs are not his thing. Anyone considering Blue should be ready to carry him up and down stairs to protect his back.
Blue loves all his fans – young and old alike. He would do great with a single person who works from home and wants a constant companion. He would also love a family with kids and has no problem with lots of activity in the home. The one setup he would not love is being left alone all day as he craves adoring fans.
Blue can be leery of strangers and leash reactive towards other strange dogs due to insecurity. He warms up very quickly, especially if you have treats. He also loves other dogs, but he is socially awkward. He doesn’t always understand social cues and is relentless in his pursuit of attention that not all dogs will tolerate. For this reason, he would do best with another young active teammate that reciprocates his excitement.
Blue is house trained, crate trained, and not destructive when allowed to roam freely. What a good boy! However, he has some mild anxiety and may whine when he gets to a new place until he understands the gameplan. He does not care to be confined away from his humans and will jump on door and scratch until he is put in the game.
Blue’s foster mom has this to say about him, “Blue loves being part of the family!

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. Blue is too large to fly, so prospective owners should be prepared to transport him in the team bus.FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
