“He is a 33 pound Frenchie hunk and as handsome as he is smart. Briar is a joy to spend time with. At the end of the day, he settles right in to watch TV or relax with a book nearby. Since his airway surgery, he sleeps soundly through the night in his ex pen without making a peep. Briar is both house trained and crate trained.”

Story
Please welcome Briar, the newest hunk on FBRN’s block! This handsome boy is officially ready to find his forever home.
Briar came to FBRN when his previous family was no longer able to meet his needs. Since arriving in foster care, he has shown himself to be a smart, handsome guy with plenty of personality and a strong appreciation for both routine and relaxation.
Briar enjoys getting out for walks and has been working hard on his training. He is making progress, but he does have leash reactivity and will need an adopter who is confident, consistent, and committed to continuing his training. Briar responds best to calm leadership and thrives in an environment that feels structured and predictable.
This handsome guy would do best in a quieter home, ideally with a more country style setting where life moves at a calmer pace. While Briar previously lived with a child, his foster family believes he will be happiest in an adult home. Cats are not a good fit for Briar. He may enjoy having another dog in the home as long as they are calm, easygoing, and respectful of his space.
Briar also has one very important house rule: toys should be chosen carefully. Before coming into rescue, an unfortunate stuffed toy incident led to an intestinal blockage after he swallowed part of the toy. Because of this, his forever family will need to supervise chew time and provide safe, durable enrichment options.
His foster family shares, “He is a 33 pound Frenchie hunk and as handsome as he is smart. Briar is a joy to spend time with. At the end of the day, he settles right in to watch TV or relax with a book nearby. Since his airway surgery, he sleeps soundly through the night in his ex pen without making a peep. Briar is both house trained and crate trained.”
Briar is looking for a calm home, patient guidance, and people who will appreciate both his playful side and his quiet moments. If that sounds like your kind of companion, complete an application and be ready to welcome this handsome guy home.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
