“Bumble just so badly wants to be loved and will deliver that love back tenfold. He’s the best boy with some opinionated moments looking for a long-term best friend willing to invest as much in him as he will in them. We have so enjoyed getting to know him and so proud of the pup he’s become. He’s the smartest, most loving boy and we only want the best for him. It will be very difficult for us to see him go, but we’ll be so happy knowing he found his loving, forever home.”

Story
BumbleB arrived in FBRN care after a change in his previous owner’s living situation. He was well loved and taken care of, but he didn’t have a lot of boundaries, and as a result he picked up some naughty habits. With the help of a trainer and the efforts of his devoted foster family, BumbleB has made a lot of progress! However, he is not a dog for first-time bulldog owners, or families with young children. His new family must be prepared to continue his training and set firm boundaries, so that BumbleB understands his place in the pack and doesn’t run roughshod over the people and dogs in his life.
Health-wise, BumbleB is in good shape, save for those dreaded Frenchie allergies. Like many of us, he’s not having fun with the high pollen counts this summer. Fortunately, a new vegan diet along with regular medicated baths and ear cleanings keeps him largely free of the itchies. Woohoo! His new family should be prepared to continue this regimen if he has any allergy flare-ups.
BumbleB’s is very possessive of food, toys, and to a lesser degree, his people. BumbleB must remain in his crate during meal prep and feeding, and only gets his meals after his canine foster siblings have finished theirs. Care also must be taken when BumbleB is playing with toys, as his play style is intense. No stuffies for this guy—he instantly disembowels them and then tries to eat what’s left! Foster mom has worked hard on the “sit and drop” command for when it’s time to stop playing with a toy and his forever family must be prepared to continue with this consistently.
When provided with the appropriate structure and boundaries, BumbleB is a really, really, really good boy. He loves morning cuddles in the people bed and afternoon romps around the yard. He’s crate-trained and house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and is always up for a car ride. More than anything, BumbleB loves to be around his people and very much wants to please them. He would do great with a family who could provide structure and routine, and continue with the training he started while in foster care. If you have experience with reactive dogs, be sure to tell us about it in your application!
The ideal home for BumbleB is one with experienced bully breed owners, who can provide him with appropriate boundaries and expectations, combined with a lot of love and attention. A fenced yard is a must, since this rough-and-tumble boy gets the zoomies at least three times a day and needs plenty of space to get his ya-yas out. Due to his resource guarding and bite history, kids and small animals are out, but other dogs are a possibility so long as they are relatively chill. Bumble B lives with other dogs in his foster home, and lived with another dog previously. But he doesn’t have the best manners with his canine brethren! BumbleB has a tendency to steal toys and play rough, think body checks and nose boops, so any resident canines must be mellow enough to shrug that behavior off.
BumbleB’s foster mom has this to say: “Bumble just so badly wants to be loved and will deliver that love back tenfold.

About BumbleB
BumbleB has a bite history, and is a resource guarder. He requires a firm pack leader and must never be around small children. He must be monitored during feeding and when toys are present. A slow intro is required if there are other dogs in the home.
