“Cadence still tends to pancake when she is approached but she is more happy than fearful. She does a kind of pancake crawl that is pretty funny! She’s definitely an attention seeker and very food motivated. She loves her car seat and going for rides. She does great with vet visits, baths, and ear and face cleaning. She is pretty good on a leash but could use more practice in that area. She is low maintenance and very easy to have around. She loves being a couch potato and is not afraid of scary movies!!”

Story
Cadence would thrive in a home that is on the quieter side with someone who is home throughout the day. While in foster care, Cadence has done well with children who are older and she enjoys the extra attention. Since she tends to be possessive with her toys, younger children would not be suitable for her forever home.
While she loves her people, Cadence doesn’t seem to care as much about her furry friends, and she’s never initiated play with any of the dogs she’s been around while in foster care. She loves chew toys and doesn’t like to share them. Cadence will take “her” toys away from other dogs, then run off to her crate or bed and sit on the toy! So, if your pup is laid back and doesn’t mind sharing, then Cadence could be a great addition to your family.
Cadence is crate trained and potty trained. She sleeps in her crate at night, and when kept on a potty schedule, she does not have accidents in the house. Cadence doesn’t signal when she needs to go potty, so as she transitions to her forever home, she will need to be let out frequently while she adjusts to the new routine. A stay at home or frequently home family member would be ideal.
Cadence is pretty low energy and tends to be a loafer! She loves to follow her foster family around as they go about their day. She loves car rides, sleeping, eating, and she’s very food motivated. Cadence could settle into a home with a yard or an apartment since she is pretty quiet and laid back.
Here’s a few words from her loving foster mom, “Cadence still tends to pancake when she is approached but she is more happy than fearful. She does a kind of pancake crawl that is pretty funny! She’s definitely an attention seeker and very food motivated. She loves her car seat and going for rides. She does great with vet visits, baths, and ear and face cleaning. With gentle guidance and lots of love, Cadence will continue to shine! If Cadence sounds like a perfect fit for you, then head on over to the application page and get to filling out. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
