“I very much hope there is a home out there for her that will treasure her and give her all the best life has to offer. She probably hasn’t had a very enriched life thus far and has few expectations but is so companionable and sweet that she deserves to be spoiled and indulged.”

Story
Who is as sweet as a cherry and has made her way to the available page? It’s Cerise! This little lady came to FBRN after being brought to a local shelter as a stray. While her exact age isn’t known, she is estimated to be around six years old. Cerise arrived with some skin irritation, missing fur and callused feet. Thankfully, she has come a long way since arriving in her foster home and is very tolerant of medicated baths and ointments. What a good girl!
Cerise is friendly with strangers and gets along with everybody, including other dogs. In fact, she seems to really enjoy the company of other dogs and doesn’t have a reactive or confrontational bone in her body. She would love to share her new life with an easygoing fur-sibling (or two) who can tolerate her snorts and grunts. That’s right, Cerise’s breathing is a bit noisy and while she doesn’t snore, she consistently makes snorting and grunting sounds. Speaking of sounds, Cerise knows all the notes to the Frenchie yodel quite well and will occasionally use it to express displeasure, especially when left alone. While she does fine in a crate, she wouldn’t do well in a forever home where she would be home alone for long hours every day. Cerise would do best with someone who is home more than not. She would also make a great office companion, as she’s quiet and companionable and gets along well with other. Going out for lunch? Well, she would very much enjoy hanging out at a sidewalk café with you on her lunch break!
Cerise could live in just about any type of home, but would do best in a lower-energy-level home that doesn’t expect her to hustle and hurry. We don’t know much about Cerise’s life before she came to us, but what we do know is that she deserves a safe, warm, loving home where she will be adored and doted upon. She has few demands and just wants to be with her people, hanging out and watching life go by at a slow pace. Cerise has been a mellow houseguest while living with her foster family and Cerise is not lazy, but she budgets her energy well and walks very slowly. She doesn’t have the stamina or interest for a long hike, but she will take a short stroll. She also rides very happily in a stroller! A first-time Frenchie home would be perfect for Cerise as she is considerably low maintenance. Cerise’s foster mom has this to say about her, “I very much hope there is a home out there for her that will treasure her and give her all the best life has to offer. She probably hasn’t had a very enriched life thus far and has few expectations but is so companionable and sweet that she deserves to be spoiled and indulged.”
If you think your home is the perfect forever home for Cerise, then don’t delay submitting your application! This sweet little girl is already starting to pack in bags in anticipation of finding a family that she can call her own.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
