Story
Well look who made the sunshine state even brighter – it’s Chantal! This four-year-old, fawn beauty is now available to add some sparkle to even your cloudiest day.
Chantal is a sweet doll. Her tongue sticks out most of the time and her tiny frame makes her super portable. She is easy going, but confident. Clingy, but also independent. Chantal was selflessly surrendered by her owners, as the financial responsibilities of caring for her were no longer feasible.
This sweet little peanut would do well in any household as long as she has a loving caregiver. Her perfect world would include having another dog companion, preferably around her size, to cuddle and play. She loves Nyla bones, exploring the yard, taking walks, and car rides. Chantal is a bit of a diva and loves to sing when all attention is not on her, so she may not be a great apartment dog.
She is very outgoing, smart, loving, potty trained AND knows her basic commands. Easy to take anywhere and makes a perfect office dog. What else could you ask for? If she needs to be left out of the limelight, she is crate trained. And last, but certainly not least, would be good with children of any age as she is very gentle.
Healthwise, Chantal had a grade II mammary mass removed while with FBRN. The margins were clean and x-rays showed no evidence of metastasis, but she should be closely monitored going forward. She has mild allergies that respond well to Apoquel and regular medicated baths.
Chantals’s foster mom has this to say about her, “she is a wonderful dog and I just love her to pieces. I am hoping she finds a family with another small dog she can play with as she is very physically active! When she finds her perfect home, we will miss her every day.”
Will Chantal light up your life? If so, click the link and apply for this little beauty.
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family. Chantal loves car rides AND is small enough to fly, so sky is the limit!
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
