“She really only wants love and attention and little else. She is a very sweet and loving girl. I want a home that will treasure her and love her for the rest of her days.”
Please welcome Chicory as she makes her available debut! She was surrendered to FBRN when her previous family suspected she had diabetes. As it turns out, sweet Chicory got a clean bill of health and now she’s ready for her forever home. Could it be yours? Chicory would love to be the apple of your eye!
This girl is laid back and always looks forward to seeing her human. She enjoys playing with her foster fur sibling, but never aggressively. There might be a small squabble over a toy or maybe Chicory being pushy to get more attention, but nothing out of the norm for a diva Frenchie girl. Chicory does have some manners and will happily lounge in her bed unless invited to join you on the couch for your favorite TV shows.
Chicory could take or leave walks, she isn’t particular either way. Her idea of a good time is getting in a few good naps and getting petted by her human. Since she hasn’t been exposed to cats while in foster care, kitties are a no-go in her forever home. In her previous home there were human children in the house, and we think children who are dog savvy and older, would likely be fine. Chicory gets on well with other dogs. Her foster fur siblings are a mix of large and small breeds and she plays well with all of them! Chicory really enjoys her people and could be an only dog, or she’d be happy to have another canine playmate with a relaxed personality.
Chicory is crate trained and house broken when kept to a frequent schedule of trips outside. She makes her potty trips outside quick, and likes to come right back inside! A fenced yard would be wonderful for Chicory, but quick walks throughout the day would also work well. Chicory’s wish is for a person who is able to spend all of their time with her! A retired person or work-from-home person would be great. Chicory just wants all the love and attention and she has such a loving personality! She also loves to meet new people and we think she could become an amazing office dog.
Chicory’s foster mom had this to say about her: “She really only wants love and attention and little else. She is a very sweet and loving girl. I want a home that will treasure her and love her for the rest of her days.”
If you think you can give Chicory the perfect forever home, then all you need to do is click on the link and fill out an application to adopt her. Just be ready to pick her up should you be selected as her forever home! FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
Here’s for Chicory, hoping she has a victory with her vet visits and adoption!
