Story
Chops is a very chill and loving boy who adores everyone he meets. He loves to go for walks because he loves all the attention he gets from his friends in the neighborhood. He has been known to make folks melt with a gaze from his adoring, loving eyes! When not hanging out with his human friends, Chops enjoys playing fetch, sun bathing, and chewing on his Nylabones. His foster family says that he is a total clown and has big front paws that make him look like he would be clumsy, but he isn’t! He is just about as adorable as they come.
The perfect home for Chops is one with someone who is home most of the day. He loves being around people as much as possible! Chops does okay when left home alone, but he would prefer to accompany his person if they must leave the house! Chops would enjoy a home with a nice fenced yard, or an apartment as long as he gets taken out for frequent walks. He is a little particular about going potty when it’s cold or raining, so having a fenced yard makes it easier to get him out regularly so he can do his business. Chops would also be a great dog to bring along to the office since he loves everyone he meets. If Chops’ new family works outside of the home, someone would need to stop by at lunchtime to give him a potty break.
Chops would probably do best as an only dog, but he could live with another mellow, more submissive female dog as long as slow introductions were made. Chops would not do well with another male dog or a dominant female. Chops would be good with older, dog savvy children, but he does not like loud voices or screaming.
Chops’ new family should have some experience with, or at least understand, Frenchie skin issues, and be able to bathe him weekly to keep his itchies under control. His health has improved so much with his foster family, and his forever family should continue to manage his skin issues by keeping him on a fish based limited ingredient diet, giving him daily medications, and weekly medicated baths.
Chops’ foster family has this to share about him, ”He is a love. A big goofball. A clown. A constant shadow wherever you go. A partner in whatever you do…. he is game! So incredibly loving and chill. So much expression in his eyes. The cutest boy that has stolen the heart of everyone in my neighborhood. Everyone is sad to see him go, but is so glad he will find his forever home!!”

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
