Story
Coconut is the definition of easygoing. She’s just as happy curling up for a cozy nap as she is doing her daily zoomies in the backyard. She absolutely lives for snuggles and will gladly claim her spot in your bed (fair warning: she’s a committed bed hog and wouldn’t have it any other way!). She also enjoys her toys, especially her beloved Benebones, and politely takes turns sharing. She currently lives with another Frenchie and would truly flourish in a home with a canine companion to guide her as she’s more of a follower and gains confidence from having a buddy around. She’s also great with cats and has even lived with a large dog without issue. Coconut adores people, including children (although she currently doesn’t live with any) and has happily greeted kids as young as four.
Coco has made great progress with housebreaking and continues to improve with routine and consistency. Like many dogs, she may need a little refresher period when transitioning into a new home, but she’s eager to please and very food motivated, which makes training a breeze! She would likely do best in a home where someone is around most of the day, as that’s what she’s grown use to and loves. Whether it’s a suburban home with a fenced yard or a more urban setting, Coconut is happiest simply being near her people and dog friends. She’d even be a great office companion! This girl has truly blossomed in foster care. From a difficult beginning, she has learned what it means to be part of a loving home, and she has embraced it wholeheartedly. She’s sweet, adaptable, gentle, and full of personality. Her foster calls her a “unicorn” for a reason…she’s that special. This is what else Coco’s foster mom has to say about her:
“Coconut has been a dream foster. She is beyond sweet and loves everyone she meets. She has adjusted to the many changes in her life with ease and looks forward to being the princess of her own castle. We love her to pieces, and she will make someone a very special family member.”
If you’re looking for a loving, low-key, affectionate companion who will bring warmth and a whole lot of cuddles into your life, Coconut is ready to be your girl!
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
