Update On 04-02-2022 : We are heartbroken to report that our favorite pied princess crossed the rainbow bridge on 4/01/2022. With her sweet and determined personality, and her unique gait, Cruella endeared herself to so many souls while she was in FBRN care! She was loved by many and cradled in her foster mom’s arms during her final moments. Please keep her foster mom in your thoughts during this difficult time.
“Cruella is unique! Oh, she’s a Frenchie for sure, but she has some unique qualities – one of which is being allergy-free, talk about unique for a Frenchie! Cruella has serious physical limitations due to an old injury, but she doesn’t let her mobility challenges stop her from getting where she wants to go. She’s a true Velcro dog with lots of grit and determination. If she can get to her person, she does! She has even figured out how to get out the sliding glass door when I’m on the porch. Of course, when I want her to come inside, she’s too tired and expects to be carried. Typical Frenchie! Cruella loves her food and treats – yes, she’s on a limited diet, but that’s not a problem. I love our time for exercises – she lays on the bed quietly and I maneuver her back legs, hips, and toes. Since it’s time with her person, anything is fine with her – cut my nails? No problem! Clean my ears? No problem! Give me a bath? No problem! Cruella is an elderly lady so her need for exercise is limited and she’d be glad to just sit on the couch with her person. Other dogs are not her favorite, but any humans are wonderful. Cruella is glad to provide kisses and never complains when she’s lugged around like a 20 pound sack of potatoes!”
Cruella is ready to find the perfect forever home! This sweet girl has grit and determination and doesn’t let her disability stop her from loving life. Now she’s ready for a forever family who wants a wonderful girl to spend time with all day long.
Cruella is a very sweet little lady who adores spending time with her humans and snuggling on the couch. If she isn’t sitting right next to her favorite person on the couch, she can be found chewing on her favorite bone or just following her humans around the house. She always wants to be right where the people are. Cruella adores children and loves every person she meets. In her foster home there are four little girls who keep her busy all day long and she just loves it!
Cruella does not, however, love other dogs. The perfect home for her will be one without other pets. Certainly Cruella gets to have all the attention when she’s the only, but also, when other dogs are around, Cruella’s lady like demeanor goes right out the window! She guards her food and even does everything she can to keep other pets out of the kitchen when her food is being prepared.
Cruella would do well in any kind of house or apartment as long as there is a nice securely fenced yard for her potty breaks. Because of her limited mobility, she must be carried up and down stairs. She also needs help getting on and off the couch. It is important that her forever person be willing and able to tote around a 20 pound Frenchie. May we suggest setting-up Frenchie Toting as a new activity on your Fitbit.
Cruella is house trained but may have accidents if not kept to a consistent potty schedule. Her foster family works from home and is able to pick her up and put her outside to do her business on a consistent basis. The ideal family for Cruella would include someone who can be home most of the day, not only for those frequent potty breaks, but also to enjoy her company. Dog-savvy children who understand that she is more fragile than other dogs would be great. First time Frenchie owners would also be great, provided they understand Cruella’s special needs and are willing to shower her with the love and attention she deserves! Cruella would love to go to the office with her person and would be an amazing coworker. However, it could be problematic if she were not the only dog in the office.
Cruella’s foster family has this to share about her, “Cruella is unique! Oh, she’s a Frenchie for sure, but she has some unique qualities – one of which is being allergy-free, talk about unique for a Frenchie! If you would like to adopt sweet little Cruella, pack your bags and be prepared to travel by car. Cruella is being fostered in SE Florida and will not be shipped. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
Cruella does not like other dogs and must remain an only dog.
Cruella has syringomyelia and has limited hind end mobility and must always be carried up and down stairs and must not be allowed to jump on or off the furniture.
Cruella must continue physical therapy.
Hi Cruella! What a beautiful, sweet girl! I’m 101% sure with prayer that FBRN will find you a loving home soon!
Such a sweetie! Wishing you the best
Sending love to Cruella!
