“Darling is a sweet potato looking to overload her new forever family with love. The first thing she mastered when coming into FBRN was begging and using her big ol eyes to get what she wants. If that fails she goes in for her everlasting kisses. Though she’s had a rough start, every day she grows more into her personality that she most likely wasn’t able to express previously.”

Story
Oh my Darling! This smoosh-faced princess came to FBRN from a commercial breeding facility, and is ready to find her happily-ever-after in the arms of her forever family. Please read on to see if your family is a great match for sweet Darling.
Darling is still learning the finer points of being a pet, but she’s got most of it down pat—particularly in the areas of snuggling and giving sweet Frenchie kisses. She is a cuddlebug of the highest order who always wants to be touching her person, and doesn’t seem to have a mean bone in her body—she gets along with kids, cats, and dogs of all sizes. Darling has also achieved mastery in the timeless art of puppy dog eyes, and will even add in a head tilt in the hopes that you’ll drop a morsel of your dinner on the floor.
The perfect home for Darling is one where she can be with her people as much as possible. She has separation anxiety—something we see a lot in former breeder mamas—and has a tendency to nervously chew things when left alone. Fortunately, Darling enjoys being out in the wide-wide world, and is more than happy to accompany you to the office or on an outdoor lunch date. Car rides are still something she’s getting used to, but progress is being made! Darling would also not be opposed to a friendly canine companion, who can keep her company and help show her the ropes as she acclimates to her new digs. More than anything, Darling’s new family should be prepared to use positive reinforcement, patience, and lots of love to help this sweet girl gain confidence and come completely out of her shell.
Health-wise, Darling is in pretty good shape, though she does suffer from the dreaded Frenchie itchies. Regular Cytopoint injections seem to have done the trick, so she may need to stay on those. Darling also has a few little quirks that stem from her unfamiliarity with the life of a pet. She will only eat inside her crate, and she is just now starting to understand what playing with toys is all about. Keep at it, Darling, we know you’ll get there!
Darling’s foster mom is over the moon with her little love-loaf, and says, “Darling is a sweet potato looking to overload her new forever family with love. The first thing she mastered when coming into FBRN was begging and using her big ol eyes to get what she wants. If that fails she goes in for her everlasting kisses. Though she’s had a rough start, every day she grows more into her personality that she most likely wasn’t able to express previously.”
If you think you’d be a perfect match for Darling, please fill out an application to adopt! Just be prepared to travel—Darling is kissing people left and right in eastern Pennsylvania, and will not be shipped. FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
