“Dusty is such a sweet, smart and loving boy. He is so engaging and seeks companionship. You will fall in love with his soulful gaze. He is a laid back and chilled dude, but will be your protector and alert you if someone is at the door. He enjoys his evening walks and exploring nature. Sometimes you will find him curled up on a recliner or couch, but he would prefer to be snuggled up with his human instead. Dusty is the best friend, the pick me up, the security blanket, the forever fur child a person/family needs. I have enjoyed my time with Dusty, watching him learn and grow each day. He is so adorable and loveable, and will be an amazing family member as he has been for ours.”

About Dusty
Are you looking for a male to gaze into your eyes and give you kisses? If the answer is yes, Dusty has moved over to the available page! Dusty, now 7 months old, is part of the six-puppy accidental litter all named after characters from Stranger Things. He has been fostered with his littermate Jim and has stolen the hearts of his foster family. Now he’s ready to find his dream home.
Dusty loves evening walks, giving kisses, snuggling with his human and canine housemates, toys of all types, and treats! He also loves playing “catch me if you can” with his brother in the backyard. In his spare time, he practices the fine arts of furniture rearranging and parkour. If he can run and hide under or behind something, he absolutely will! However, his parkour practice should be closely monitored and furniture surfing should be limited.
Dusty is very much the protector of the household and brings out his big dog voice when someone is at the door. He also has a flare for drama when he wants to convince you that his crate time is over. He is a master at playing with your emotions when he wants out. Despite being quite vocal in these situations, Dusty is a pretty chill little guy.
Dusty is a growing puppy and needs a family that is willing to continue his potty training and is willing to reinforce his training. Dusty is quite the social butterfly, but he can be selective about interactions with adults and children. He would do best in a home with adults only or a home with older, dog-savvy children. Dusty has a lot of puppy energy to burn, so would love a home with a fenced in yard to zoom around in. He could potentially adjust to apartment life if someone is home all day with him and is able to take him out regularly. However, he might not win over your neighbors easily as he is quite vocal if he hears the door or a disturbance.
Dusty’s foster mom had this to say about him, “Dusty is such a sweet, smart and loving boy.
If you have room in your home and heart for Dusty all you need to do is fill out an application for him. Dusty will remain available for a minimum of 24 hours even if that means over 20 applications are taken. You’ll need to plan a trip to Louisiana because FBRN will not ship dogs. Dusty is is prone to motion sickness during extended car rides, so an adopter within 2.5 hours is preferred. A discussion with your vet about travel might be in order if you are any distance away.
FYI our policy is – once we receive 20 applications for a Frenchie, we stop collecting applications for that dog, so if you see a great fit for your family in the week’s “Sneak Peek” list, please watch for the next weekly update for her available picture so you don’t miss out! Now, as you can imagine, we get 20 applications for healthy young dogs quite quickly, and that is why, in the interests of fairness to people who work or otherwise can’t submit an application as soon as the available page is visible, every dog stays up a minimum of 24 hours, even if that means taking more than 20 applications for the dog.”
FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.
FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
